Just As Described
I am a little surprised by the reviews. When I read them yesterday, I was ready to return my case when it arrived today.I bought this because I wanted the lightest case possible that would provide protection. It is very light. As the product description explains, the case is polycarbonate (an impact and scratch resistant PLASTIC) which has been rubberized on the outside, and the cover is a soft fabric (rubberized with a felt layer on the inside. Yes, the elastic strap is glued, but so what? Glue is a good thing. It feels "cheap" because it is very light (so light I thought the package was empty). According to my postage scale, it weighs a tad over 3 ozs. The stand does not stay in place unless it is weighted with, of all things, a Kindle Fire inserted into it. Then it works perfectly. It is exactly as advertised: a very light, form-fitting case that offers good protection for the device with a simple display stand. Nothing fancy. Certainly doesn't...

Basic Tour of the Microshell Folio Cover by Marware
Customer Video Review Length:: 2:14 MinsJust a basic look at the case, so you know exactly what it is you're getting into. Also, I didn't talk about the inside of the flap at all. It's felty, so it kind of doubles as a screen cleaner as well. I'm kind of a spaz about finger smudges, but they mysteriously go away due to the inside of the cover flap.

I actually like this case!
I am puzzled with all the bad reviews for this case. I was expecting something terrible to show up when I saw the reviews start popping up yesterday. The case is basically a plastic shell on the outside for the back, and a thin synthetic type material for the front, very similar (but thinner) to Apple's smartcover for iPad 2. The device fits inside the plastic shell perfectly. There is no room for it to move around at all.The plastic part has a elastic band on the bank which can be used to insert your hand and hold the device when reading on it, or it can be brought to the front to securely close the front flap on the case. Overall it is a slim profile case that adds only marginal bulk to the device. The front flap has in inner velvet lining which comes in contact with the screen and keeps is safe.Parts that could have been better - the front flap is slim, but a little too thin. I'm sure it will protect the device adequately, but it feels lacking in terms of...

Southern Recipes at their best
I just recently purchased this book, and was so exicited to get it. I have not had a chance to cook anything from the book, but I REALLY LOVE ALL OF THE RECIPES after looking thru it. I especially love that I got it at a bargain price from Amazon.com. It was a used edition, but in great shape. I can't wait to make some of the recipes like the Hummingbird and Italian Cream Cake for the upcoming holidays. Then there are recipes like the Hotel Natchez Bread Pudding with Bourbon Sauce, that really sounds delicious. The Meatloaf Stuffed Tomato also sound like it would be really good, and there are so many others. Those are just a few of the recipes that caught my eye, but there were so many more. There were also a lot of Seafood recipes, that you might like. I am allergic to Sea food, so I usually don't look at those recipes as much as the others. Over all it is a great well written book, covering the most popular recipes from three great Southern States, Alabama, Louisiana, and...

Motorcycling Alabama
From Northern Ohio but moved to Alabama 4 years ago. We ride as often as time allows but don`t know of many nice places to ride to. I ordered this book and what a suprise it was to see all the great rides. We wouldn`t have found many of these rides or places to visit on our own without exploring for a few more years. It is very obvious that David Haynes has spent plenty of time riding the roads in Alabama and has done a fantastic job at documenting his travels and creating this book.

My husband and I both ride motorcycles. He rides a Honda Goldwing 1800 and I ride a Suzuki Boulevard 800. We have made a couple of the rides detailed in this book and enjoyed them. We found the book to be very accurate when describing the areas the rides encompassed.

Today, the Governor and First Lady attended the Buy Alabama's Best press conference in Montgomery. Members of major corporations, legislators, small business owners, and other advocates gathered in support of Alabama products and Alabama people.
Robert Bentley, Agriculture Commissioner John McMillan and Tourism Director Lee Sentell joined business leaders Wednesday to launch the 2012 “Buy Alabama’s Best” campaign and encourage Alabama consumers to eat products produced by Alabama businesses. Sentell said Tourism will be focusing on Alabama food all year with the return of one of the department’s most popular promotion ideas — the Year of Alabama Food. It won’t be just Alabama’s economy that will benefit from Alabamians buying Alabama products, campaign participants said. “I don’t know if we will settle any arguments, but I’m sure we will start a few,” he said, adding that there are so many excellent barbecue sauces made in the state, if will be a difficult task to pick the best. But he added that it could be a dangerous year for those in Tourism because they are going to use blind taste tests to select the state’s best barbecue sauce.
Here are a few Alabama products that are part of the Buy Alabama’s Best campaign. The Buy Alabama’s Best campaign raises money for philanthropic pursuits, including the Children’s Hospital of Alabama. Association members have various outlets to promote their product through the Buy Alabama’s Best campaign, which has been around for six years and now includes more than 40 companies of varying sizes. “Awareness brings consumers,” says John D. Fox Jr. , regional vice president of Moore’s Marinade and Wing Sauces and a member of Buy Alabama’s Best. “For the smaller companies especially, the campaign is beneficial in getting their names in front of consumers,” says Ellie Taylor, executive director of Buy Alabama’s Best. Products are running up and down Alabama’s highways in trucks that buy Alabama fuel, so the benefits really splinter out. The association collaborates with the Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries (ADAI) and the Alabama Grocers Association.
Update March 6: Ellie Smotherman Taylor, executive director of the Alabama Food Manufacturers and Producers Association, said in an email: “Mike Elliott’s BBQ Sauce is not part of the AFMPA and also not affiliated with the Buy Alabama’s Best... While the Year of Alabama Food spotlights restaurants and their dishes, another lesser-known program has been running since 2004, Buy Alabama’s Best. (We’re not entirely sure Mike Elliott’s product is an official Buy Alabama’s Best member, since it’s not listed as a manufacturer on the website. The Buy Alabama’s Best logo on supermarket shelves marks which ones are members. But not every product shows us at our best. A Lake Martin product has a “savage” and apparent blessing of supermarkets statewide We know how great Alabama food is, and we have 10 more months to tell the story. Mike Elliott’s BBQ Sauce can be found across Alabama , including Winn Dixie. This ongoing campaign by the Alabama Food Manufacturers and Producers focuses on homegrown products. The state tourism department declared 2012 as the Year of Alabama Food for its annual themed campaign. “He’s meant to portrait that once trying my sauce that it will turn you into a savage and will do anything to get some of that savory sauce. In Birmingham, it’s in Alabama Goods in Homewood, Piggly Wiggly on Clairmont, V. Richards in Forest Park and Western Supermarket in Mountain Brook and on Southside. The “savage” depicted on the label echoes centuries-old stereotypes of the black community, ones that continue to rile in Alabama.

The state's ability to enforce Alabama's mandatory auto insurance is also an issue. Drake says "Some motorists simply refuse to purchase insurance and risk paying a nominal penalty if stopped by a police officer. Others buy the coverage, get their
