Weighing in at seven pounds with measurements of 19.2 x 5.3 and 10 inches, this upright unit will pretty much fit anywhere in your room of choice -- on a desk, shelf, table, or it is even capable of being mounted on your wall. Speakers that Leverage the Power of Your iOS Device
Imagine how expensive a speaker system would have been 3 years ago with a 10 inch touch sensitive screen, multiple gigabytes of onboard storage for music, photos and video, and support for just about every online music streaming service. PERFECT to play my iPod in the car!
My car offers line-in audio which means I can play my iPod directly through my car speakers without the need of a scratch, static-filled fm tuner. If your car has line-in, forget wasting your money on the tuners and just get a cable like this.The only downfall is that it doesn't charge your iPod like the fm tuners, which probably isn't news to you, but just a reminder.

This cable is handy ...
... for transferring recordings from cassette tape to PC. One end goes in the headphone jack of a cassette player and the other goes into the microphone jack of the PC. I use it with free, open source software (Audacity) to edit and save old tape recordings to disc.

Quiet TV vieiwing in bed
I bought this cable because my bedroom TV doesn't have a headphone jack, but I do have a cable box hooked up to it. So I will use this to connect the cable box to computer speakers(for amplification) that has a phone out(for my ear buds) so I can watch TV without disturbing the wife.

I'm so happy that this exists, and even happier that it only costs a few dollars!!! Let's you put simple but adequate computer speakers onto your TV. Great if you want better sound on a budget, or just don't want a huge fancy and EXPENSIVE home theater system, but still appreciate better sound quality.My new HDTV has horrible speakers (guess they think everyone uses home theaters or something!), and this allows me to use computer speakers that are conveniently small and cheap, yet sound a million times better!

Not Gold Plated Contacts
Currently the image shows the y cable as having gold plated contacts but it actually has the cheaper nickel plating. There was also no description of the plating to make me think otherwise. I contacted Amazon to have the image updated. The thing that bothers me is that I paid extra for this cable because I wanted the gold plate. The cheaper nickel plated cables can be found all over the place and at a lot cheaper price.

Can't beat it for this price
I don't know what other people are talking about. I use this monitor to play games with on my PC. It is certainly useful in more than just reading Word Documents. Bright ? what do people mean when they say a TV monitor is not bright enough ? If it isn't turn up the brightness...LOL.. And it certainly isn't "Cheap" feeling.IT ISN'T a Widescreen...DUH, so don't complain about it not being one or compare it to a widescreen.AND it ISN'T a LED BACKLIT Monitor !! All this you know BEFORE you buy it. It's a basic decent 17 inch monitor. My movies look great on it but that is a partial function of my video card too.I have a top notch Video card and PC and I have found this to be a superb little monitor, but I am going to a larger screen soon, although I'm not crazy about widescreens.At any rate before you go judging this monitor, think about the rest of your system first. It will certainly bring out the flaws in your integrated video chipsets and inexpensive PCs,...

"What.. I can't give this a 6 star rating?"
Monitors have gotten too large and wide for my tastes. I found this the finest monitor I've tested in this price range that fits nicely on a table that does not need to be more than three feet away to take it all in. I waited three months after buying this to post this review so I've kicked it around awhile. NO dead pixels, 250 nits is plenty of brightness because there are contrast and cool/hot brightness settings that suit any tastes! I just hope they keep making this winner and don't change anything if and when I need a second or third one. Nice job Acer!

Works great.
Opened the box, plugged in cords, snapped monitor into base (from pictograph directions printed on box), turned it on and voila! Only resolution to be changed (easily on a Mac OS 10.6.4, under System Preferences - Monitors). So clear, so easy. No need for enclosed cd and printed manual (yet).4 stars because monitor does not tilt (product specs didn't say it would) but my last ones (Samsung, ViewSonic) did. I don't yet know about product lifespan.

Acer V193 DJB 19-Inch LCD Display
I ordered this monitor from Amazon on Thursday and I received it on Monday. This was very prompt standard shipping service. I have limited space with not enough room for a wide screen monitor. This 4 X 3 monitor fits my space very well. The monitor works very well with a sharp and bright display. I have been using it for about a month and am well pleased with it. The only negative thing about this was the instructions for adjusting the display were not very clear and it took a little time to figure out how to do it.

For the money you cant beat 'em . . .
I have four of these on a tester at work. I've been using them about 18 hours a day for the last year and a half and I've been completely satisfied with them. Are they as good as the $300+ Dell on my desk? No, but they cost about a third as much and aren't THAT much different.I detest widescreen monitors for computing. They're great for TV and movies, but for real work, give me the old 4:3 aspect ratio any day. Trouble is, the world has gone BS-crazy for widescreen and I fear that it won't be long until you can't get the regular ones anymore. So I'm getting me another Acer V193 for my rec-room computer while I can.

Good Product
A good, reasonably priced monitor with hard-to-find 4:3 aspect ratio. On sale from Tiger Direct $119.98 incl shipping. Replaced the blown 17" CRT on my semi-retired Dell Dimension LR1000. Had concerns about O/S compatiblity but Win ME loaded a driver without the install disc or internet. Performance with Photoshop 5.0 (sharpness, resolution, color rendition, brighntess, contrast) very good in my amateur opinion. Would recommend to anyone looking for a reasonably priced 4:3 monitor.
