It's everything I wanted
This compact pedal/stompbox/pc DAW interface/tuner/loop station is so far the best pedal investment I've made. It is simple to use right out of the box. Although I would like to be able to make changes on the fly in a more simple manner, I love it. I am still on the same set of batteries I started with a month ago. Compared to my Fender VG strat (loves to eat battereies) that is a miracle. I've yet to take advantage of the DAW interface or Looping feature.I am a fan of the SRV/Hendrix changy (Super Reverb/Ibanez Tube Screamer) tones and I get that nicely from this pedal. It fits neatly into my gig bag (fishing tackle bag) along with my cables and other gear. I love the Boost and Solo button as well. It really adds the umph when you need it. I like that Boss has a consistent interface across all of their products so you are automatically somewhat familiar if you have other Boss products. The only issue is that I wish the manual was more comprehensive...

Bad-Ass
This Pedal is freakin' amazing once you get used to it. You can get thousands of different tones out within just a few simple clicks of a button. I would definately recommend buying one, if you interested in buying effects for a low price.

Great pedal, not for live gigs
This pedal is excellent to have at home or for creating sounds in a studio. Tons of variations and options, effects, etc. You have to keep in mind that unless you prepare settings in advance, it is very difficult to change settings, or add specific effects on the spot live. Other than that it is excellent.

Easy to use, really
Easy to use, really!I bought this unit based on the reviews they said it was "very easy to use and the Chorus and Delay effects were very good, but the distortions were not very good !...". In my opinion this Pedalboard is very complete, and all the effects are really good, (Distortions, Delays, Chorus, Flanger, etc ...), and the looper is addictive. Overall this pedal is all in the correct proportion.the only cons to mention is that not brought the power supply in the box. Boss should be placed, just imagine that you buy a car but this does not come with tires! is frustrating. also considered that the manual should bring more information, because the manual that is downloaded from the site brings a few more things.

Why this product doesn't come with a wall adapter?!
I like the processor. I play mainly blues and I found a lot of combinations to satisfy my urge for perfect blues sound.BUT WHY IN THE WORLD a simple wall adapter is not included?! It only comes with batteries.You have to separately buy a Boss PSA-120S Boss AC Adapter.I find that silly.

If you get a Boss product that does not come with this then you need to buy one. I got the BR 600 which takes 6 batteries. Now I don't know about you but I can't afford to be buying 6 batteries every week.

Save batteries!

Everything I need in one box
I used to have a chain of effects- tuner, compressor, chorus, distortion, wah- and a rat's nest of cables and power supply lines chaining them all together. I sold them all, bought a used ME50 and came out ahead not just in cash, but in effects and reliability, too. The ME-50 gives me more sounds than I had before, along with more functions. You can run the ME50 right into a PA, or record direct from it. You can even pug in headphones. Add a CD or MP3 player, and use it for practicing or learning tunes.And it's super simple to use. You don't need to look at the manual unless you want to play with the programmability features. Just plug in, switch it on, and start turning knobs. Everything is clearly laid out.For the money, I think it's a fantastic package. It's the equivalent of seven or eight Boss pedals in one box, and gives you the ability to program combinations of preset sounds on top of that! I'll probably keep it forever... although I did notice a Boss...

The Best Boss Multi-Effect Pedal Available
I bought one of these not too long ago and I have been very impressed with it. I did some research on it and have found out one reason it sounds so good is because it's 24-bit. I only use a light amount of effects. I use the delay and sometimes the distortion on this unit. The ME-50 has a ton of distortion tones that you can setup to your liking and the same with modulation and delay. I previously had a lot of pedals hooked up in my chain like delays, distortions, compressors, etc., but the ME-50 eliminates a lot of room on the ground, which is nice. I am not impressed with Boss' reverb and never have been, but the beauty is you don't have to use the reverb on the unit. I run a Lexicon MPX-110 for my reverb and I believe this is something that Lexicon excels in.This unit is also built like a tank which I would expect nothing less from Boss. I would seriously think about getting one of these instead of forking over more more for a Boss GT-10.

Excellent for Live Play through house PA
Got this unit and compared side-by-side with Line 6's Floor POD Plus for use through the PA system at my church. I was woried that the Amp Modeling function would not be very good, but I was pleasantly wrong. The line-out function into the house PA provides excellent sound. The amp-modeling is transparent to the user, and you can focus on your effects while the ME-50 manages the amp modeling to automatically give a good sound.The metal housing and heavy duty knobs were also far superior to the Line 6 Unit. In fairness, this unit costs more than the Line 6.Only downside is that you cannot switch thru the 10 saved sound banks with your foot, so you can only have 3 pedal settings plus whatever has been manually set for 4 settings during a song. Conversely the Line 6 provides extra pedals to allow switching sound banks on the fly. This is a minor issue for me, however, since I only use a few saved settings.
