To Use It Is To Love It, and easy clean up of all parts
Two years ago I bought the Black & Decker KEC600 Cordless Can Opener. Another super highly recommended item. It is inexpensive, powerful, and convenient. It is cordless and sits in a reharging station, then you can take it to anywhere in the kitchen. After two years, the rechargeable battery finally started to get weak. So I ordered another one. While browsing in the Black and Decker area, I came across this B&D Ergo 3 cup food chopper. Based on the reviews, I decided to give it a try. Now I don't know which one I like... no, love better. While this product seems to scream "As seen on TV!", it really is quite useful.This week, I used this product to prepare the following:Sun: Pizza toppings (olives, mushrooms, peppers, onions)Mon: Soup (celery, onions, carrots)Tue: Salsa (tomatoes, onions, peppers)Tue: Spanish rice ( onions, celery, peppers, tomatoes)Wed: Pad thai (broccoli, peppers, onions)Thur: Stuffed peppers (onions, zucchini, peppers, mushrooms)Everyday: Salad (apples, tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, hardboiled egg)Fri: Apple cake (apples)Sat: Oatmeal (apples)The chopper is a little more work to clean than a knife, but MUCH faster and still easy to clean with the included cleaning comb. Most amazing kitchen time saver EVER
I bought one of these choppers for myself (4 blade variety vs. the one blade onion chopper) by Progressive......it is totally an amazing product; you can chop multipe items in one fell-swoop of the lid, it falls into the ice-tray type bin below and you add the next item. You can chop a whole onion in one movement, a whole tomato, etc. using proper blades for the item. Making a stew or spaghetti sauce or other multi-veggie item is instantaneous. I love this product. Am giving it for Christmas gifts.

AWESOME
I work full time, am a full time mom and have a husband to take care of, but still cook every night. This has cut my prep time down to seconds. You wash your vegetables, place them on the blade, pull the handle down and tada..magic sliced, diced vegetables. It is very sturdy, easy to clean and now my best friend. I highly suggest this item!

Excellent little kitchen tool!!!
I got this as a gift from my mother when I moved to my first apartment away from home. She already had one, and loved it. I use mine quite frequently, and makes quick work of dicing onions and peppers for philly steaks or burgers. My brother and father have also since purchased these units. I have had mine going on 5 years now, not a problem with it. great value, good gift for cooks for one or two, who do not need a huge unit to chop stuff.

Love this chopper!
I've been looking for something like this for years. I used it at a friends house and immediately came home and ordered one. Hers is about ten years old she says. I have a rub/marinade recipe that is made up in a small batch and uses fresh rosemary garlic and mustard and a bit of olive oil, and its not enough for a stick blender, regular blender, or a regular food processor, but this works like a charm! It's a beautiful thing.

Wonderful Little Gadget
I recently purchased this food chopper, and I just love this thing. I had been using a food chopper from Pampered Chef and was never satisfied with that one. It was uncomfortable to use and too light for the task. In two years, I had replaced parts three times. This chopper, although smaller, is heavier and much more durable. The large plunger is indeed quite comfortable and it chops like a dream. Perfect for those quick meals or small chopping projects. And as an added bonus, I could find a color that matched my kitchen. This chopper is wonderful and well worth the small price.

Cute, and it chops and minces quick and easy!
This chopper is great! For most of the stuff I make as a bachelor cooking for 1 person I don't need a monster sized food processor, and this little guy saves a lot of chopping and mincing I used to do with a knife.You can toss some avacado, red onion, cilantro, salt, and the juice from a lime into it and in like 5 seconds have homemade guacamole to go with some tortilla chips.Other stuff like pesto or marinara sauce for 1 or 2 people are easy to make with it too.

It's good value for its price
I needed a food chopper badly, so I'm glad I made this purchase. It does a good job, it's incredibly cheap and the size is indeed very compact. However, I have to say, that even for a one-person household I find it a bit too small.Even an onion has to be chopped in halves, the whole onion would be too much for it. If I was to buy a new one I'd go for a bigger one.

The only negative part about this little chopper is that is does only chop small quantities, however, it does such a fantastic job, and it's such a great price, that it hardly matters. ANYone who cooks should have this! EASY to use and clean, chops amazingly. I highly recommend it.

LOVE it! Great capacity!
We had a chef'n herb mincer which was similar to this product, but a lot smaller. My hubby used it to chop greens for our tortoises and it made the chore a lot easier. He was pretty upset when the herb mincer broke so I went on Amazon to find a surprise replacement. The only thing I found that was close was the VeggiChop. I am so glad that I ordered it! Not only does it hold a lot more of the greens than the herb mincer, but it also chops or minces onions, garlic and just about anything else in seconds! We have even used it to chop tomatoes without turning them into a pulpy mess. I can fit a whole large onion (quartered) in this thing and there are no more watery eyes to deal with! I was curious as to the capacity of the bowl because it oddly has no indication of that in the product description that I saw. I was able to fit 3 cups of liquid in the bowl, so that at least gives some idea of its size.. The plastic circle that is used as the handle to pull the string is very large and...

It works!!!!!!
Ever since my tupperware chopper broke several years ago, I have been looking for an affordable replacement.I loved the mechanical process, and no need for batteries or outlets. As the mother of a large family, I usually avoid kitchen gadget, usually preferring simple knives and pots and pan. However, I often cook soups and stews and like to get those veggies chopped quickly.Now, I have that replacement...it works wonderfully! Pulling the string activates the spinning of the blades. It has worked on onions, peppers and herbs. I haven't yet tried carrots (this is what broke my last one) but I think it should work. It is sturdy and easy to use and to clean.highly recommend...who needs a Cuisinart? not me!I would like the bowl to be bigger - do they make one bigger?
