Nice finish, and they look good
These are mostly the size of a quarter, some as small as a nickel. They have a nice antiqued finish on one side,the other side is finely textured. Like all of the faux effect things in this line, these are well made and work well for scrapbooking and altered art. They look nicer than the real thing because they were designed with art in mind and newly manufactured.They aren't flimsy and hold up just fine in most jewelry applications without bending or breaking.

If you don't have the time, here's a good source
I got these before I began tearing apart clocks for gears. I have to say that if you don't have the time or tools to take on a clock dissection, this is a good alternative.Pros:- smooth gears make for easy attachment to whatever your project is.- decent metal construction. These aren't brass gears, but they do look ok.- decent assortment for your projects.Cons:- they are a bit contrived- real clockwork gears are nicer in my own opinion.- no real size variance.- not brass means they don't age or have any decent patina.I wouldn't buy again, but that is because I now 'make' my own by tearing down old clocks. For many, this is a good alternative.

Works like a Clock
This item has given the time accurately from the day it was initially set. We have not had to re adjust it since the original setting a month ago. We had expected more movement of the gears behind the hands, but only one gear is really visibly moving on the left hand side, looking at it from the front. Other than that, we have been extremely pleased with it.

Fascinating watch parts
Very happy with the purchase of tiny watch parts. I got these for steampunk crafting and couldn't be happier with them. Packaging is professional and parts are clean. These are pocket watch parts, so keep in mind that they are very small. The largest gear was maybe 20mm in diameter.

Tiny tiny parts, exactly as described.
This is a collection of miscellaneous watch parts, not clock parts. They are all extremely small with the largest pieces likely no bigger than a dime. This works well for adding tiny intricate details to a steam punk costume but keep in mind their small size and don't expect any large gears.

Loads of tiny tiny parts
My mind reeled when I dumped this little bag of awesome out. Loads of possibilities but I have no idea where to start, these things are so small. I expected them to be small but I don't thing I truly comprehended the bittiness of them. Lots of cool variety, don't expect to get a lot of hands. The weight was a true .5oz when in bag. The picture would have you believe these are all shiny and clean, They will be a bit less so in reality, not to say they're filthy, they just have a bit of age to them. There were a few bits of junk metal in mine but all in all I'm pleased. For the price a good product!

Bulky, elegant, lovable.
Customer Video Review Length:: 0:19 MinsOnly some of the gears move noticeably, but that makes sense. I find it to be reasonably quiet. It does stick out quite far from the wall, but I don't mind that, since I can view the workings from the side, too. I found the gears to be a matte silver rather than the white in the original product image; maybe it's a matter of lighting. A thoroughly lovable novelty. My one complaint is that the rim is not stainless as one reviewer said, nor is it nickel plated: It's ordinary polished steel, and I have already spotted a few tiny flecks of rust on the back of the rim. Iron can be such a lousy metal. Anyway, it does LOOK like it's nickel plated, but as the description of "nickel" usually implies actual nickel plating I would like amazon to update the color to "polished steel", since actual nickel plating serves the important function of fending off rust, which this clock could have a problem with if it were kept in, say, a bathroom or a garage. Excellent Clock
I bought this as a gift for my husband who is a mechanical engineer. He loved the clock. He especially liked it because all the gears move. There are some gear clocks where the gears don't move, only the hands. The gears are made out of a cheaper material but suitable for the price of the clock. The clock looks great on the wall. It's very stylish. Also, the clock was delivered to my door in about a week and a half. It's a great clock.

Nice clock
I really like this clock. It really looks nice and makes no noise when running. I was wondering if I received the correct model when I measured it though. The description on Amazon says it's 16x5x14 and that it's nickel/white. I received one that is 14 inches in diameter and stands 4 inches off the wall and has a stainless steel rim. Also the center of the clock was off from the center of the rim about 3/8 of an inch. The packaging was undamaged so I dont know how it happened. I had to loosen all the nuts holding the brackets and posts to the rim and recenter the mechanism to the rim. Thats why I only gave it 3 stars but the clock looks and works great so I'll keep it.
