Home PC
One of the better home PC's I have purchased, this is the most connectable with all the card readers etc in the front where they are supposed to be. It is a fast responsive unit with the only flaw is the size of the tower. Dell has to learn that smaller is better.An excellent value for the money.

Good basic computer, good price
My younger brother, TechnoMan, told me that this computer would be all I need for my basic computer needs and would not need upgrading. It has enough memory to hold what I need from my former computer and is easy to use. A very good product and a very good price.

more than adequate replacement for aging desktop
I did a lot of research before buying this PC, as I wanted to get as much for my money as possible. After lots and lots of looking I concluded that it simply isn't feasible to build a lower-end computer for less than $500 if you intend to follow the path of least resistance and load Windows 7, and searching online magazine reviews of this line (Dell 620) resulted in lots of favorable opinions.What this PC has that other don't:very well reviewed i3-2120, which is significantly faster than it's i3 brethren, particularly the 1st gen versions. Does very well in benchmark tests, beating the i5 in some processes (ie: audio rendering...like mixing down a file or burning a disc), and making the AMD chips at this level seem worth avoiding. This is a stand-out chip in it's price range.6Gb RAM, though only upgradable to 8. I was hesitant, but I think if you're looking at entry-level PCs to begin with, you probably won't ever want more than 6, anyway, let...

Dell Inspiron 620 Mini-TowerI ordered my Dell Inspiron 620 via Dell using a discount code, which ended up shipping out a pre-built unit. My particular 620 came equipped with the following:Intel Core i3-2120 (Dual-core 3.3 GHz, Hyperthreaded) Sandybridge4GB of DDR3/1333 RAM (Kingston 2GB x2)Onboard integrated Intel HD2000 graphics (part of the Core i3-2120 processor)1TB Seagate 7200 RPM HD (has NCQ)Samsung DVD burnerDell 1520 Wi-Fi PCIe network cardOnboard 5.1 audioThe entire Inspiron 620 is built using standardized components. The motherboard and power supply units are ATX form-factor, which is a really good thing compared to Dell's older models that used proprietary power supplies. The PSU is only capable of 300W, so you are limited to an AMD Radeon HD 6670 graphics card if you choose to upgrade. There's one 16 lane PCIe 2.0 slot, so Crossfire or SLI is out of the question unless you upgrade the motherboard...

Refurbished Dell Computer
I was running Windows 2000 on my old Dell Precision Workstation; that I purchased back in 2001. I had upgraded it as far as it would go (RAM wise). It was working OK; but I had been noticing that more and more software offerings, were not including W2K in their list of OS they were certified to work with. My dilemma; do I try and upgrade my existing computer to Windows XP or newer OS, or do I replace my machine??I have had experiences in the past with trying to upgrade to a newer OS and all have had disastrous results!! I live on a very limited income, so a new machine was out of the question. I placed my order with Reverse Logistics Solutions on a Monday afternoon and received it Wednesday evening, complete as advertised, working perfectly and in perfect condition. I couldn't be happier with it. Actually, the system is even better than advertised in that contrary to what is shown in the picture of the back, PS/2 mouse and keyboard ports are also provided. Do be aware that the two USB in front are vertically mounted in a cramped space, an odd design choice rendering them useless for thumb drives, but that's only a minor annoyance since there are six easily accessible USB ports in back.

Great workhouse computer for business
The Dell Latitude line of notebooks are well built business machines. The Latitudes and XPS lines are a tier higher than the entry-level Inspiron Series.The case is constructed of metal with plastic trim along the LCD monitor. There are 4 USB ports which allow for a variety of peripherals to be attached such as portable hard drives. There is a headphone and microphone jack and an outlet for a monitor. The keyboard is comfortable to the touch. In addition to the mousepad, there is a pointing stick with 2 buttons below the space key, allowing for either to control the cursor. The 'spill proof' keyboard is one of the biggest assets (I have only spilled a drink on it once, where I just wiped off the keyboard without a problem in function).The WIFI capabilities is reliable and easy to set up. Bargain Notebook
I purchased the D620 for my daughter in college when her 2 yr old HP notebook died due to an overheating problem (long story). After verifying that the D620 worked properly by connecting to the internet and installing XP SP 3, I moved over one of the RAM chips (for a total of 1.5 GB) and the harddrive from the HP. I then installed Windows 7 and recovered her data files (I didn't really expect a college student to use the flash drives that I gave her for backups). Finally, I installed software including Office 7. Throughout the process the D620 performed flawlessly. I tested it by running DVDs, Office apps and videos over the internet (after I set up a wireless connection). This is one fine notebook, very fast and with a good display. Its only "short comings" are obvious from the specs, i.e., no web cam, no media slots and no DVD burner. But these are clearly minor issues given the price.

Best Bang For Your Buck In Computers!
Look, this isn't a computer for someone who wants to look hip or cool. It's a tool, and it does a great job, and it's reliable. If someone would have told me back in 1990 that I could someday buy a computer that had the power and speed of this desktop .... FOR ONLY $250!!!! .... I would have thought they were dreaming. I bought it for my son, who uses it for school and stuff, but we adults use it a lot, too. It's great for internet, great for listening to music (cheap speakers, but I'm not picky), and great for doing bills and stuff with. A great all-around family computer that is built like a tank.

This Dell Super Fast Optiplex computer is nice. It runs well and it was easy to hook up myself. The one thing that confuses me is the Big 40 GB Hard drive. The word Big is what I don't get. It is small. I don 't know how much it holds. The LCD Flat Panel Monitor is great. The mouse is nice the keyboard is nice. The speakers are not very expensive. They sound rough, cracky. I paid for what I got. It was not too expensive and it works and I am happy with it. I hope to someday get a bigger Hard Drive.Susan
