Delrin Rod
Delrin is a great plastic for turning on a machine lathe. It is easy to turn, but it requires slow speeds. I use this stuff to make Scottish smallpipes chanters. Delrin rod
I bought a chunk of this material to make a reading stylus. I know it isn't recommended to use a stylus for speed reading, but I use one, it seems to act as a sort of 'momentum' to keep me moving. I wanted some kind of plastic that would slide smoothly over the pages and I found it. This material is light weight and exhibits low friction, yet doesn't wear inordinately. It worked easily enough on my wood lathe for the short piece I was turning, but it did tend to bend rather too easily for turning. You have to keep your length/width ratio pretty thick. I went ahead and bought the three foot piece (stylus only five inches) and I'm sure I'll find other useful applications for the remainder. Good stuff. Too the price from this supplier was something unusual, FAIR!

Great!!!!
This stuff is great!!!! Was packaged very nice and have no complaints about what it looked like when I opened the box. Machines very nice but be very carefull when sanding, you can get out of specs very quickly. I use the material for making Guitar picks that are very thick and beveled for my self. The Acetal polishes nicely with a buffing wheel and some polish.\m/ \m/, two horns up!

Good for what I need
I needed this to build a battery tray for my RC rock crawler. It had a few scratches on in but nothing major. After all im going to be scratching it up on rocks anyways.
