SI 10" Memory Foam - Will never go back to a spring mattress again.
After my 5 years of sleeping on a very expensive spring mattress left me with constant back pain, I decided it was time to give a memory foam mattress a try. I started my research at the tempra-pedic site, and quickly realized they were completely out of my price range. So off I headed to my local bed store, where I was starting feel like I would never be able to afford a memory foam bed. Their prices were almost as high as the Tempra-Pedic beds. Best Sleep in Years
Unloaded box and slept on mattress the same night. We replaced a $1675.00 latex foam mattress that was only 3 years old with this mattress. I am 64 years old with back issues (compression fracture) that occurred 3 years ago. My son has this mattress in his home and we slept on it when we visited and knew we had to have one. Very Impressed
I bought this mattress as an alternative to the traditional spring mattress, which are very expensive. I'm a college student and i needed a cheap bed for my room. I decided to get it with a wooden platform bed, which only cost me $100. This memory foam mattress came in about a week after ordering, before the estimated arrival date and right on time for me to move in. It was packaged nicely and folded up in a cylindrical cardboard box (it wasn't very heavy to lift), and all i had to do was unfold it onto my platform bed. The mattress was clean and very firm, although it's more like 5.5'' in depth instead of 6'', but it's no big deal. I'm not sure why the seller doesn't post a picture of the bed, but i assure you it is a clean twin size bed that is incredibly soft but firm. I have been sleeping on it for 3 months now and it still feels like new. Great Mattress on the Cheap
I had some initial trepidation when considering purchasing this mattress; most memory foam beds are much more expensive, and my prior experience with beds is that 'you get what you pay for.' Having slept on Tempurpedic for many years, I almost didn't complete my order. However, I am quite glad that I did.The mattress comes rolled up in air-tight packaging, inside of a draw-string style canvas sack. Once you cut it open and unroll it, the mattress expands; as it expanded, my cynicism was lessened. Comfortable!
I was really hesitant to get this one, especially without trying. But the reviews were so good, I took the chance. I am glad I did! I have tried several mattresses before this, much more expensive ones, but not found anything as comfortable.The pillow top is *very* soft so if you are looking for a firm mattress, this is not for you. But if you do like soft mattresses then this one is sure to please you!Also, there was a strong smell when I first opened it like a lot of reviewers mentioned. But I could sleep in it after 24hrs. I kept the windows open and the mattress close to it. There is absolutely no smell now.The packing was awesome, the box came with wheels, so if you are going to do this all by yourself, its going to quite easy :)

We purchased this mattress for our 4 year old daughter that had a pretty uncomfortable bed. We wanted something affordable, comfortable, and that would last a long time. After sleeping on this for awhile now....
I LOVE IT! This is such an upgrade from a regular bed. Originally I switched to foam due to allergies from our old mattress, but find that this is soooo much more comfortable! I'm waking up less from pressure points, and sneezing.Both my husband and I are tall and slim. We don't normally get over heated at night, and that hasn't changed on this mattress. In fact, I'm still dressing warmly and using a quilt during cold weather. My daughter, 2yrs old loved ours so much that we got her a small foam bed too! Really a must for anyone with back pain or allergies! It only had a slight odor for a few days, and me having a 'super sniffer' nose, I'm not sure if anyone else would have smelt it.

My Background:Recently started getting back pains in the mornings - I was using a cheap Ikea mattress for the past few years. I have been searching for a comfortable mattress for a cheap price, and when I came across this mattress on Amazon, it seemed like a perfect match for me. Cheap and comfortable.It opened up and expanded within only a few hours, and I was able to sleep on it the first night as I didn't notice a smell (I read reviews that the smeel was horrible, however, I could only get a hint of a smell when I decided to put my nose directly on it. Still not bad.)Now this is where I give my real input. I say I'm pretty average on the scale of sensitivity to mattress comfort. My boyfriend is even less sensitive, being able to sleep on almost anything. After night one, we both looked at eachother and said "Too firm." We both woke with sore backs. Never Will I Go Back to Springs
The background: My wife and I bought our first king size bed in April 2005. Three years later the thing was already sagging down the middle. Lived with it for a year and then finally made a warranty claim. The company stripped the bed down to the springs and rebuilt a new mattress. Lasted 8 months before terrible again.So I read Consu. Reports and lo and behold, besides the fact that it states that mattresses are the number one inquired about review next to cars, they don't actually rate any mattresses. I guess it is b/c the companies give each store their own model so it is impossible to compare. C.R. did, however, give satisfaction survey numbers on the different manufacturers. It was amazing. All but one were 50% or lower (the question, I believe, was would you buy another mattress of this brand). Most were much lower than 50% (Serta was 35%). I mean WOW. Great Mattress
After I'd ordered this mattress, it hit me: I live alone, and my bedroom is up a flight of stairs. How the heck am I gonna....?The box is heavy--over 70 pounds. But the mattress is folded in half, rolled, and compressed, so the box isn't that unmanageable to haul up. Then you pry the mattress out of the box and let it flop open and un-compress. The instructions say to leave it open for 48 hours. This seems...unrealistic to me. I did it in the morning, and let it do its thing all day and slept on it that night. I'll admit, there was a sort of chemical foam smell when you first open it, and a few hours later, but it's gone entirely by the second night.Sleep quality is nice. Mine is quite firm and supportive. Compared to the standard mattress (which it's replacing) it's a bit taller (so if you have mobility issues, you might have to adjust getting into and out of bed). Not a Tempur Pedic but Maybe close ???
I have waited a month to do this review to be as accurate as possible on this purchase. We researched this purchase extensively before deciding to purchase prior to the holidays. We previously had a Simmons Euro top ultra plush king that only lasted 5 years before it started to become uncomfortable and bother my back. We went to numerous stores to lay on Tempur pedic mattresses and other brands. We could not justify spending $3000 on a mattress that we might not like.
