Good coins - good size and color. A bit thin.
These are bright and shiny gold-colored plastic coins (some other products apparently had color problems, according to reviews). They are a bit thin, but that's OK. I think the picture shows more coins than are included - the coins filled a medium-sized money pouch (stage prop) - which was fine for me - that's all I needed them to do. But if you are trying to recreate the Isla De Morta from Pirates of the Caribbean, buy lots of these!The decoration is a shield-like image with a USA flavor (they won't pass for Spanish dubloons if seen closely) and the decoration is the same on the obverse and reverse (so I guess it doesn't really HAVE an obverse and reverse).

I ordered 3 of these at a total of $4.50 a piece. The name implies that it IS solid gold because the seller uses the term "bullion". The coin is 1/2 gram, so the value SHOULD be around $28 providing the coin is real. These things are selling all over the net dirt cheap, which makes me wonder if it's not just gold plated in 22k. It's about half the size of a dime. So math wise, in order to get an ounce (provided these are real) it will take 58 of these to get 1 oz. of gold. That makes this "bullion" $261 an oz. So the likelyhood of these being real is highly slim since gold is over $1400 an oz. for spot. But hey, you might just fool soneone too. But don't use the term "bullion", people could sue you. But it is gold. Gold plated.

The pirate bags are great -- nice skull & crossbones, nice size, nice quality. The plastic gold coins though, are junk. Sharp edges, very thin, very cheap. They say "Pirate Party" on the back, so they don't even look like a "real" pirate coin -- just like a cheap plastic party novelty. I'm going to toss the plastic coins and buy some decent metal ones.
