Seems to be the best choice for a small wall clock
I rcvd my new Howard Miller - Aries 8.5" wall clock today. I shopped online for a couple weeks before deciding on this one. This seems to be part of a series of Howard Miller clocks with Zodiac names; they are all the same size and style, but with different colored cases and dials: Aries (brushed-nickel case); Aquarius (brushed-brass case); Virgo (oil-rubbed bronze case); Pisces (brushed nickel case with spun silver-tone dial). I picked the Aries because I thought the `brushed nickel case with white dial' would look best on my wall. It was a bit difficult to find an 8.5" dia clock, as most wall clocks are larger; but an enormous 12-13" dia wall clock would have looked ridiculous on the wall of my small office room. *I don't find the `ticking' to be much louder than any of the other battery operated clocks I have in my house; of course it would be better to have a non-ticking (silent sweep) clock, but I couldn't find any available in the 8.5" dia size. *I didn't understand the...

Not much else can be said, the wife and I liked the look of this clock, it's quiet enough that I forget it's in my living room, and has functioned as intended for over a year now. I believe I've changed the battery once.

The clock looks and works great. Be aware that it is plastic but it looks very much like stainless steel and you really can't tell unless you touch it or get very close. Keeps excellent time so far - owned for one month.

Beautiful clock!
I was skeptical about buying this clock since there was no review available. After two weeks of searching what's available on line, I decided to take a chance by ordering this clock. When it arrived in the mail, I was very happy with the looks of the clock. It has a very clean look and the numbers are easy to read. The second hand on the has a faint ticking noise but from a distance it's hardly audible. The wood frame, however, doesn't not look as red as it appears on line but overall, I'm very satisified with the appearance and features. The clock adjusts itself to daylight savings time and it was realitively easy to set up.
