Excellent product
Perfect for mood lighting.The first thing that got my attention was the build quality. I expected the bulb to be of cheap, fragile plastic construction, but it's actually very solid and of good weight. The size is about as long as a PAR20 bulb and almost exactly as wide as an MR16.The color it produces is extremely vibrant, very saturated. The transitions are clean and look professional. As one reviewer mentioned earlier, things are a little more on the dim side. The brightest colors (blue and white) are equivalent to a 20 watt bulb and the dimmest color (red) is about an 8 watt bulb. While this perfect for mood lighting, as a party-lighting solution, you will require many bulbs. I recommend searching out and buying the bulb by the same seller without the remote when getting multiples. It saves a few bucks and you can use the same remote for all the bulbs.The remote has a range of about six feet and about a 60 degree spread. It's signal easily goes...

Wonderful light, with a couple modifications

You have to diffuse the light with something translucent like wax paper or tape in order for the colors to blend.2. You can get this same light for around $7.00 from other sellers, or the step up which is actually 5 watts as this one claims to be (but isn't, it's 3 watt).

Probably a good alternative to the Sylvania Dot-It lights
I bought these Fulcrum lights because they were a cheaper alternative to the Sylvania Dot-It lights, I could get 3 for a little more than the price of one Dot-It. So these are the pros and cons of the Fulcrums compared to the Sylvanias.Pros-----The Fulcrums look much the same as the Sylvanias.-Works the same; push down on the clear center area to turn on and off.-Light output seems the same, very good.-Unmarked, no words printed on front of the case.Cons-----More cheaply made, plastic instead of aluminum.-AAA batteries are NOT included. You need 3 for each light.-Adhesive on the back of the Dot-Its seemed better.By the way, don't stick the adhesive back sides of two of these lights together. They're VERY hard to get back apart...

Real life savers
Although Fulcrum may not have anticipated this use, they saved my life & sanity in the aftermath of Hurricane Ike. When I bought them, I had intended to use them as extra light when doing garden work after dark as well as lights for my closet.After Hurricane Ike intruded on my life, I found several other uses for them. Living 100 mi. inland allows me a pretty good buffer from the wrath of hurricanes. (I went through both Betsy & Camille in New Orleans as a child. I chose to pass on any future front row seats as an adult.) Prior to Ike We'd not had more than 8-12 hrs. of pwr ourage from storms in my neck of the woods. Try two weeks of life without electricity, and we were some of the lucky ones! These lights were light enough to carry around in my pocket so that I always had one handy. Since I have to walk with a cane, carrying a flashlight left me no hands to carry anything else. When I walked outside after dark, they were lifesavers because there were no street lights. On...

Perfect for camping!
I bought these for a cheap giveaway for a 'career' day presentation for my daughters' 2nd grade class, and was so impressed with the quality for the price, that I bought 500 to use for camping this summer. It was a nice switch-up from the usual "glow bracelet" things that we have done for years. We get about one 'dud' in every 15-20 lights (not bad at all). The elastic bands are easy for the kids to get on and off and they don't break. The lights last a VERY long time. I have ever used them as reading lights. We have bought these over and over again. FABULOUS product! I'm pretty picky - these are a great buy!

These "Rave" light now have an elastic band that fits over your finger.Work fine, but 6 of 40 did not work when I opened, then tested them. Emailedvendor, and they suggested I press the plastic housing where the batteries arelocated. Informed them that did not work so asked for replacements. No email responseafter 2 weeks.For the price, OK, but factor in a DOA percentage in your buying decision.

Super bright. Great battery life. Some break
Great for the price. We used them to light up a field at night by taping them to cones. Looked AMAZING. only thing stopping them from getting 5 stars is that some of them got stuck in the on position and would not turn off. But at .50 cents a pop, who cares. Lasted FOREVER, the stuck ones were still going after two full days of being on. LED ON

Great deal
I purchased these bulbs for my 2006 Ford F-150. They fit fine in my side marker lights but were too long for my license plate lights. So I just stuck them in my Chevy S-10 pickup as interior lights. I just thought I would pass that on to Ford people. Still a great deal if you can find another place for them.

Great Product!
I have delt with alot of LED's in my life, and i have to say, these are the first LED's i have used that have a full lighting spectrum. These nice little bulbs will light up anything. i have them in my interior in my 04 impala, and they light up the inside of my car like it was day time. I also put them in my licence plate lights, and they look very nice. Will update review if i have any problems with them.

Great product for a great price
I purchased this kit through Amazon from LEDWholesalers. It was better than I expected (in terms of quality of materials, brightness of LEDs, and ease of installation.) One thing of note, they sent me the waterproof version (which typically is a little more expensive) even though I ordered the standard version. The problem with the waterproof version is that the 3M double sided tape included does not adhere very well to the clear plastic covering. Because I did not need my lights to be waterproof, I cut off the plastic and installed the LED strips with the 3M tape adhered directly to the back side of the strip (instead of to the plastic covering.) I used drywall screws to secure the controller and power supply inside a cabinet, and had a beautiful finished project. One thing I was surprised with, is that the controller actually has a memory -meaning when you choose the color of light, or pattern that you want to display, if you cut the power to the unit (by unplugging the power...

Awesome for shadow lighting or even walkway lighting!
These light strips are fantastic! The kit will come with everything needed to get up and running; the power supply, light strip, controller, and remote. The LED strip ribbon can be cut after every three LEDs, you'll just have to solder the four leads on (or purchase the $2.00 lead) in order to connect a power supply/controller to them again. The strip contains an adhesive backing for mounting to virtually any dry surface. On one end you have the plug wired in for you to connect to the controller, on the other side there is already four leads attached for you if you would like to purchase a driver to hard wire into the strip.These little LEDs are very bright! I can't imagine what the super bright LEDs available would be like! The remote control includes 16 brightness levels, a strobe effect albeit very slow, and smooth transition from color to color, and fade transition from color to color, and a flash mode. There are 15 colors to choose from from the RGB spectrum...

Great lights, 5 minute set up!
This looks more complicated than it is. You get a reel of lights which has a white four prong plug on one end and some exposed wires on the other end. You plug the four prongs into a "female" end on the white box you get. You connect the white box to the transformer that plugs into the wall. Plug it in to an outlet, push buttons on the remote and you are done. If you are connecting more lights, then order a data repeater, here or on the company's website, and use a connector ($2) or preferable solder. Otherwise, just some electrical tape over the exposed wires. I cannot comment on longevity yet, as these just arrived. I don't know how many strings can be connected, but for other lights I have seen 36 feet (about 2 of these). The remote that I received was the larger one (the pics show large and small). The lights are super bright and can be dimmed. You can go with a steady colour or flashing or changing colours. I plan to put them around my sliding door in my family room...

LEDs Are Much More Than Expected!
I ordered this 5 Meter reel of 300 LEDs hoping that they would be bright enough to serve as under-cabinet lights to brighten my counter tops. Not only are they bright enough, they can be cut into sections as small as 2" (with 3 LEDs) and put just about anywhere. With simple soldering skills and some light gauge wire, it is possible to place these light strips into just about any configuration.A single strip of these LEDs are bright enough to make the countertop bright, but my application has given me almost twice the LED ribbon that I need. I plan to double-up on the LEDs by running an additional strip behind the front strip giving me additional light. In brief use this product is working well. Some technical data you may find helpful:1. Product is 10 pieces of 0.5m flex, with 30 LEDs each, joined end to end by solder, with continuous adhesive backing.2. Product can be cut at each 3-LED increment, marked with a silk-screened dash. (Each increment has 3 LEDs and one resistor, in series)3. Solder pads are present at every 3-LED increment, though soldering to the existing "joins" every 0.5 meters will be easiest because they already have solder blobs.4. With a regulated 12 volt supply, total load for the 5m chain is about 1 Amp. Voltage drop at the end of 5m is 10%.

Far superior to any under cabinet lighting
As a professional remodeler, I have install under counter/ under cabinet lighting in various applications. This LED ribbon is superior to any halogen, quartz or fluorescent fixture. Minimal energy usage, great flexibility, extremely easy to install. I cut this to the length I need and then solder the power leads to the transformer. You can see from the pictures I added, the illumination is very even and consistent.Don't bother buying the halogen or quartz or xenon undercab lights. They get too hot, bulbs frequently burn out and the replacements are expensive.I even connected the left over 12" to a 12v battery and it worked great. Might utilize in the bed of the truck.Unfortunately, I bought this from a local lighting supply and paid $140 for 13' of ribbon and transformer. Next time I will buy on Amazon.
