Solid quality Camwood Whistler loft bed frame
We are so happy with this purchase! We bought two espresso loft beds, for our five and half and three and half yr old boys that share small bedroom. My husband and I put them both together in about 1.5 hrs, with the second taking less time after the practice of the first.Some notes:- Instructions recommend mattress no taller than 8 inches and it is true for safety. Ours look about that max and are a little too close to top of rail (about four inches).- the two stairs on upright ladder are slippery. We are going to put some simple stick on tread for more safety, especially for little socked or slippery pj feet. Tired kids with slippery feet need a little extra safety.- weight limit in instructions states max 165 lb. not clear if this is with or without mattress. But if you planned to snuggle up with your kid, keep this max in mind.- instructions state for six yr old or older. Well, we have both ours younger. Not sure about why, maybe climbing ladder...

Youth loft Bed
This is an excellent choice for a youth loft bed. We purchased this for our 3 1/2 year granddaughter. She and her parents live in a 1100 sq ft home. Her bedroom is roughly 10 x 12 and my son wanted to get just a little extra toy storage space. I had this shipped to our home, took it over to their house and set it up completely in less than two hours.It is strong and sturdy. She has had no trouble with the ladder and getting in or out of the bed. She was thrilled to get a "big girl's" bed and spends time playing under it as well as reading while laying on her loft. The height makes it perfect for a 3 year old and will last her many years. It is sturdy enough to hold me and I am a rather large grandpa.All in all, I give this bed a 5 star rating and recommend it to anyone out there wanting a high quality bed at a more than reasonable cost.

Nice Space-saving bed
Cons:The stain used on the bed has a strong odor for the first several days.The instructions were poorThe latter isn't really angled so it makes climbing up a little difficult.There are no good places to grab a hold of when climbingThe description on Amazon and on Wal-mart do not mention that this bed is for 6 yrs and older, and with that in mind if you have a 3 yr old, climbing will be more difficult. I solved this issue by creating a knotted rope for my 3 yr old to hold onto and put a step at the bottom.Opening where you climb up seems kind of narrow.Nothing on Amazon or Wal-mart lists what size mattress to buy. Great bed for the price
This bed is as good or better than the beds in the local stores for way more money. Our daughter loves it and there is plenty of room under it for a futon, desk, or a cool play area. Definitely make sure you have some help for assembly and be careful of the overhead light or fan when setting it in place.

Very happy with this bed!
I bought this bed for my daughter who is a little over 6. She shares a room with her brother and the 2 twin beds made the already tiny room ridicules to navigate so being able to shove one bed under another seemed like the perfect solution. I wanted the loft bed so that when they no longer want to share a room(they are sharing because they want to) I can take out his bed and my daughter will have a place for a desk or whatever underneath.The bed came in the manufacturers box. The box came a little damaged but all the contents were fine. Beware if you don't have help to carry the box... it was a very long box and weighed 84 lbs according to the shipping label. It took both my husband and I to maneuver it upstairs mainly because it was so long.My daughter and I (30 year old woman) put the bed together by ourselves. It took an hour and a half or so. It was very easy and the directions made complete sense. I would recommend 2 people to put it together because of...

Not bad
I really like the space this created in my room, and now it looks pretty put together and cozy. :)The only complaint is if your a tall guy, your feet may touch the end of the railing (I'm like 5'11 and 6). Granted, it's fine if you sleep on your side - or spread your legs apart. A sliding component would've been nice so it's easier to climb into and out of bed, but you get use to it.I like it.

Very Affordable Loft Bed
We purchased this loft bed for our 8 year old daughter. It was delivered in about 2 weeks and packaging was very rugged and complete. I found it fairly easy to assemble. It took about 4 hours to assemble, it would have been much less, but I had two of the legs swapped. That meant the backside lower stabilizer bar had holes only on one side. Besides that error (mine), it should have been closer to 3 hours assembling.Complaints: First, 2 of the nuts were stripped. I had to go to Home Depot for new nuts. Second, the side rails have VERY long wood screws (5 or 6")... almost impossible to do by hand, so you better have a power driver. The wood is soft pine, so you can damage it by over tightening - be careful.After assembling, we put our daughters small dresser in one end and I built a desk into the other end. I also added a bulletin board above the desk (1/2" plywood with cork board glued on). Screwing this into the frame significantly strengthened the...

Not exactly sturdy, but a great product for the price
I purchased this item for my 12 year old son to increase usable space in his room. The bed shipped on time/quickly. It took me a hour and a half to assemble with minimal instructions, but it is pretty straightforward to figure out. The stain of the wood is consistent and looks fantastic. The wood itself comes from Viet Nam and is very light (not sure of the wood family). The wood can be easily dented or scratched, but no more than a comparable expensive Pottery Barn kitchen table I have. After tightening up every bolt and screw and attaching the ladder, the bed looked great did exactly what it was intended to do. I would have preferred a bed that was more sturdy when climbing onto the bed, once it was moved into the corner and had the support of the walls of the bedroom, that was less of a concern. My son LOVES it. And for the price and the look we got, we love it too.

Wood Splits very easily
I bought this product for my children who meet the guidelines for having a raised bed. After setting up the beds, I noticed that the bottom step on both beds had split after the children climbed on top to make their beds. Both children weight under 120lbs and the weight restriction for the beds is 165lbs. Now, I need to take the added time to call and find if there are replacement parts: something I would rather not do since my time is very, very limited between parenting and working. I still like the product and I love how it has created personal space for my children in their room. I would recommend this type of product to others as I do believe it is a space saver.

When we opened the plans, they were very well laid and very descriptive. Great Product !! Very sturdy and well made.
This is a really nice looking and study loft bed workstation. The instructions and parts were very organized and everything was there including the tools needed to assemble. Assembly was easy (about 2 hours) but you need a couple of people to put together because of holding parts together while assembly. Buy from this vendor, the price was $300 cheaper than other identical beds sold by other vendors. The delivery was to my garage and the delivery people were on time and called a day ahead to confirm. I had no problem, but I did email to ask a question after my order was placed and response was fast and very helpful. You will love this product!

Great buy for a neat bed - my son loves it!
A few things, the bed is NOT difficult to put together if you have ever assembled other furniture items. It CAN be assembled by ONE person, just use a little ingenuity and put bed on it's side and then attach the two main side rails. Next, lift it up on it's edge and put the rest together. Lifting off edge may require help since it's heavy, but I did this myself - however I'm a large fairly strong man (6'3 295lbs).I did make the same mistake as someone else on another site mentioned. I put the bed base (the part that the mattress goes on) in backwards. Just make sure the side with 3 holes goes to the back, it's latter needed to attach the shelves.Other than that it just takes some time, about 2 hours and that was fixing my mistake. Otherwise about 1 to 1:30 hours.Note: Use a cordless drill it will save HUGE time when bolting together. Just cut the supplied alien wrench L shape off then insert the straight piece in to drill - SAVES SO MUCH...

Beautiful loft bed-Unbeatable price!!
We received our loft bed right on schedule, no damage during shipping. The bed was fairly easy to assemble even in limited space. It is as beautiful as picture indicates-could not have asked for better quality at this price point!! The sticker was an eye sore as the previous reviewer had stated- I have removed them, just working on getting the last of the glue residue off the finish. If you are considering this model I would recommend jumping on it before there are none left!!

Loft Bed 7 out of 10!
This bed was relatively easy to assemble. Nice Color. Good overall quality and sturdy. Problem: unlike the picture, the manufacture put the safety sticker that is 2/12" x 12" (at eye level) on the front, middle of the bed. This should be underneath, if they want it to seen and kept. It is meant to stay, with glue that is not easy to remove. In fact we haven't figured out how to remove w/o hurting the finish. This is very disappointing to us and currently ruins this otherwise lovely bed. We're still trying to remove the assembly stickers also, but this sticker is the worst. So we really like the bed, the shipping may look high, but it's heavy and comes in three large bulk boxes. Overall it's a good price here on Amazon. Wish us luck with the sticker!
