Great book, sheds light on the true story!
This was an excellent read. We finally get to hear the true story of the rags to riches. The book is very enlightening and Childs tell the story in his own words on how Tyler Perry got his start. My first thought was that this was another book bashing a successful member of our community, but it is not the case. I would love to see this as a movie!!

A must read for all in pursuit of dreams. Melvin's journey and growth are seeds for those who will listen. Along with my family n friends we enjoy Tyler's talent and have purchased, attended,and supported his many works. Both men are applauded for their committment and perseverance. No success is ever enjoyed without cost...I pray the causalities do not include personal integrity, familial ties and broken spirits. Thank you for these words that teach your son to not let his passion give way to blind loyalty.

Good Muffin Recipes
Sometimes I just long for a good muffin. This collection provides a nice variety of muffins with good clear instructions and a nice layout.Some reviewers have commented that it's not all "from scratch". I actually really like the variety of recipes and that some of them are quick-make quick-bake, and some of them are completely from scratch.The author obviously really knows how to cook and brought together a collection that is a lovely combination of old-fashioned favorites and new and interesting recipes. I especially enjoyed the ginger snap muffins.For a muffin lover, this is a great book.

Muffins! YUM!
I have to say that I am really a fan of Arlene's "Naked Organics" book series. I bought her other book and I was so impressed with it that I just had to get this book as well and I am so glad that I did.All the recipes are straight forward and easy to make. Being that I am a bit of a coffee addict (trying to quit but not going to well) I have my eye on the Mocha Madness muffins. Can't wait to make these tomorrow morning, lol.Overall, Arlene has done an excellent job with this recipe book and I applaud here for starting the Naked Organic Community. I can't wait to join.Highly Recommended!

Those of you who follow my cookbook reviews know that it is a very hard thing to get a five-star review from me. Denise Paré-Watson hits every one of the marks with her latest, . The book is very nicely formatted and features an interactive Table of Contents that interfaces with the Kindle Navigation menu correctly. It is patently obvious that Denise knows of what she writes as she shares her expertise with the reader in more than fifty recipes for various bites of chocolate heaven.Denise presents recipes that range from Black & White Chocolate Chips to definitely drool-worthy Quadruple Chocolate Brownies (the picture alone of that one is enough to make me gain a pound!!) and not just one but two different recipes for Chocolate Wafers - the crisp...

Decadent Chocolate
Even more great chocolate recipes!! The recipes are simple to prepare, the ingredients easy to acquire and the results are excellent. The Buttertart Squares with Chocolate Chunks were my personal favourites. A family member described the Chocolate and Oat Cookies with Creamy Chocolate Filling as "delightful, light and fluffy". My neighbor requested the recipe for the Quadruple Chocolate Brownies. I'm looking forward to your next book.

Love the Healthy Dessert Options
I have one of this author's other books called and it is excellent, so when I saw this one by her I jumped at the chance to see what she had written this time.This dessert book is fantastic! I try to follow a gluten free diet so the Raw Coconut Date bars are perfect for me. I like the advice and tips that the author gives too.This is different than your average dessert book because it has information on the health effects of food and she reminds her reader to think about what you are nourishing your body with.Highly recommended!

Delicious Surprise!!
I don't often write a review, but I just tried the Chocolate Avocado Puddding, and had to share my impression. The pudding was absolutely delicious! My husband, not a fan of avocados, was blown away, too. I can't wait to try other recipes. This book is a winner!

Awesome
I just got this book because I am looking for better ways to eat healthier. I started to read it and couldn't put it down. When was the last time you heard about someone reading a cookbook and it being so interesting and informative that they couldn't put it down? Well you just heard it from me. I am going right out and buying both the black and white beans for brownies and if they are as good as the book says, I'll be back and write another review. As it is the book served to inspire me to adapt some of my recipes. I look forward to reading some more of this series.As promised, I bought beans and made brownies....what a surprise. They are great.

Pleasant Surprise
There's detailed information about the author. There's an introduction. There are baking tips at the beginning of each recipe. There's a hyperlinked table of contents. These are good signs!The recipes are straightforward and include all the necessary information (pan size, greasing, etc.) The first recipe is a relatively basic cake, which the author then gives information about dressing up with fillings, toppings, and additions. Nice!Some options call for a springform or tart pan with a removable bottom. I do not have either. I believe I must remedy this - soon.Alas, I did hit one small snag. The author says, in the text for the almond cake, "similar in technique to the Crunchy Chocolate Pecan cake recipe previously presented." The pecan cake is included, it's just *after* the almond cake. There's another recipe referring to the pecan cake which precedes its appearance in the book.Following the recipes, there are definitions...

entertaining made easier
I have tasted the double chocolate raspberry torte and the chocolate pecan crust is a wonderful foil for the rich filling and is one of the most luxurious desserts I've ever enjoyed. The fact that it can be made ahead and frozen is perfect for entertaining, having dessert taked care of before the day of the dinner is my idea of keeping it all together and feeling relaxed for my guests.Lyndadawn

Although it is a well written letter, it is a sad time indeed when actors have to consider their political view point for every job they do. I agree that exports and imports go hand in hand to make for a better economy all around, however I think... It is not against Global Trade, it has not said “don’t buy imported product” it has just said “Buy NZ Made” which as mentioned above still supports Global Trading while providing just a few jobs – sounds like a win win to me. Manufacturers will... The thoughts and comments here appear to be absolute i. e. they look at the Buy Kiwi Made campaign as everyone must buy everything made In New Zealand and never buy imported products. Now if we don’t Buy NZ Made or are not aware of the products that are made here we will lose our manufacturers and along with it a part or our export business. The point is that, if the campaign succeeds at all, it makes someone choose a domestically made product ast the exoense of one made offshore. If consumers stop purchasing NZ Made – Manufacturers will close and people will lose their jobs. So by purchasing New Zealand made we are also supporting global trading.
