Great tasting pecans
We have used these for years in salads. They are just the right size, easy to chew, and have a nice pecan flavor. If you refrigerate them after opening (as directed on the bag), they will taste fresh for weeks.Kirkland is the Costco brand. I currently buy these at my local Costco for fifteen dollars, which is less than half the current price on Amazon.Bottom line: These are high quality nuts, but shop for price. Top to learn more

Best of 4 brands
Best of 4 brands that I have tried: Better than Planters and Klein Naturals. Equal to or perhaps slightly better than Von's / Safeway's.Plump, meaty, not acidic in taste.

Crunchy, flavorful, large halves that aren't broken
Purchased four types of nuts from Bergin simultaneously to make large batch of trail mix for several of my brothers who frequently hike/mountain bike with a group. I do the easy work by making their trail mix; they do the hard work - the hiking and biking!First time purchase of these Bergin pecans, filberts (hazelnuts) and cashews; second attempt at their almonds. (First purchase of Bergin almonds was horrible; stale, sticky, gummy & chewy even though the 'flavor' seemed ok. They were just terrible. But that was months ago so I thought I give it another try).So far, the pecans, almonds (this time around) and the filberts are terrifically yummy. It is the cashews this time that are useless. Waste of money. All packages were sealed by folded over cellophane bags (like those cheap, holiday treat bags) and closed with an adhesive label listing nutritional values. Could not determine reason for stale cashews, but then again, I couldn't determine reason for stale...

Great purchasing experience
Great product. The pecans are amazingly fresh and tasty. They've become a daily staple in my life. Fast order fullfillment, including delivery. After years of buying off-the-shelf packaged pecans this new resource has totally changed my attraction and cravings for omega 3 valued pecans. My reorders are increasing every two weeks! Great stuff. Top to learn more

Fresh and good pecans!
These pecans were really great. I was incredibly surprised at how fresh they were. Usually when I buy pecans I'm always somewhat disappointed because my grandparents had pecan trees and I know what really fresh pecans taste like. While these aren't as fresh as "just picked" pecans are, they are the freshest shelled and packaged pecans I've found so far. If you love pecans I certainly recommend these for your pies, trail mix, or even just for snacking. Top to learn more

Great Pecans!
I was looking for a good deal on pecans when I found these. This 5lb bag was the best deal at the time (prices do change). These pecans came in a thick plastic bag, well sealed, and were fresh tasting and nice big pieces (no pecan-powder). I will definitely be buying these again! Top to learn more
Yum
They are very fresh. Since it is such a large package, I am keeping them in the fridge to keep them that way. The piece size is very nice for baking, etc. No need to do any chopping, but the pieces are not to fine as to appear ground. Top to learn more

Do NOT buy these!
That's right, don't buy! Why? Because:A) If you don't buy them there will be more for me. :-)B) They are extremely addictive and you will gain 5 pounds in 1 month. In all seriousness, these are delicious. The praline sugary stuff sticks really well to the pecans and there is a nice-sized handful in each snack-size bag. They are a little pricey at more than $1/bag but I think you'll find them well worth it. I'm about to order more!! Yum!! Top to learn more

WOW!
At first bite it was a little dark tasting but as i continued eating it left a lasting impression. A very high qualty Praline and a good value for the amount, some pralines have a candy coating wich can be a bit much on the sugary side and some have a coating of milky brown sugar coating, but pear's has a baked-on glazed coating and its just right. i consider myself a praline pecan lover and this gets a A- in my grading list great with warm or iced coffee and with ice cream but also awesome as a stand alone snack... trust me once you try them you will love them! They have cracked pecans, shelled pecans, pecan pies, pecan candy, pecan trees, pecan fudge, pecan divinity, pecan oils, pecan crackers and shellers, and more. Yes, the Pecan tree is the state tree of Texas and pecans (pronounced puh-cahn here in Real Texas – pee-can in other places) are an abundant and valuable crop. One of the very best places to stop and look at…and purchase pecans is at Berdoll Pecan Farms at their retail location about 15 miles East of Austin. If you are looking for a long term business opportunity, buy some land and plant pecan trees. Those were the best producing pecan trees I ever saw and we fertilized them every other year and took extra good care of them. Ramona shelled them in the evenings while watching TV. Our favorite pecan trees were three Choctaw in our yard back in our former hometown of Big Lake. For sheer size, I would match our pecan trees in our yard here at Sherwood Ranch with any in the entire state. In turn, they yielded some of the very best pecans I ever tasted and we enjoyed our quart zip lock bags full of big halves we shared with our neighbor in exchange for shelling them. Turns out Texas pecans can make you a lot of money and they are very heart healthy. In fact, in a report dated November 2011, because of drought in Texas and increased Chinese demand, the price of pecans is up 22 percent from 2010. They have been cracking pecans in the evenings and sometimes it stains fingers.
Whether you want chocolate covered pecans, roasted pecans , shelled pecans, in shell pecans, or butter roasted pecans , they have got you covered. In closing, I want to remind you that pecans are only in season a few months out of the year, so make sure that you contact Leonard Farms Pecan Orchard to find out when they actually are selling their pecans because you want to make sure that you... Apart from these benefits of doing business with Leonard Farm’s Pecan Orchard, you should know that pecans, unlike most foods that are great tasting, are actually very very good for you. Leonard Farms Pecans is located near Dallas Texas, and it is a family owned pecan orchard, and here is why I love them so much. Most of us are only used to store bought pecans, and if that is you, then you have no idea what real, fresh pecans taste like. So next time, you are looking for a food that is not only tasty, but actually good for you, make sure you think of pecans. For example, if you want to send ten pecan tins to ten different places, you can do that on one single order. I think that most of us do. Now, to thoroughly enjoy pecans, you need to make sure that you get them from the right place.
And some web sites recommend dipping the nuts in boiling water to loosen them up. I also learned that there are lots of places that will shell your pecans for you I learned that there are such things as paper pecans and that a lot of the more modern varieties are easier to shell.
