Doesn't the Geneva Convention ban these things?
For reasons unknown to anyone else, one of my brothers-in-law is absolutely addicted to Peeps, with his favorite being the yellow Easter Bunny Peeps. He's won two Peeps-eating contests. I have Amazon ship him a box every Easter (he lives a thousand miles from me), and I think he enjoys them more than anything else I could send. He emails me every year that they arrived intact and fresh.Personally, I would eat a lizard before I would touch another Peep. But that's just me.

Pricey and not very satisfying.
It's probably been 15 years since I had a peep, so about $6 (with free shipping from Amazon, or .01 with shipping from the 3rd party sellers) for a package of 12 was a small price to pay to try them once again. But once is enough at that price point, they're not bad tasting but you can eat a whole package in about 2 sittings and they're really not that satisfying. Buy the big bag of jumbo marshmallows for less, eat two and you're full, those will last weeks. These will last a day or so. Okay for reminiscing childhood, but costly for a regular treat.

Customer Review

As Awesome as you remember!
Have Peeps been produced since time began? Some things never change, and for once, this is an awesome thing when it comes to Peeps. If you haven't tried them for awhile, rest assured that they still taste great as you remember them from childhood. The things still make my mouth water whenever I see them and well, I usually inhale the things and after I've eated half the box, well, I'm off for more. Great, great product, they're fresh upon arrival (if not, just zap them for a few seconds in the microwave) and taste great. Pure sugar everywhere, what more could you want?! Highly recommend!

As awesome as ever!
I've been eating these things for more than 40 years now and this is definitely one candy that has remained the same over all of those years. Plus, the blue is great for that ever-funny "blue lip" syndrome too! Just a great candy, and they work great in hot chocolate too for that extra special treat. Highly recommend!

They are okay...
Peeps look really pretty and you say "hey! why not buy 3 packs". Then when you eat them sugar is like pouring out of them and they don't really taste good. They are unhealthy and the main ingredient is sugar. I would only buy them for maybe decorations like they have mints on the table in the doctor offices and restaurants and they taste reeaaalllyy bad!

not very great ingredients
Peeps have been around since forever! I had introduced them to my children today, since its easter, and they were a hit(of course, they're basically sugar). The only bad thing about them is that they have bad ingredients. Bad colors, some weird type of wax for like the eyes, and sugar sugar SUGAR! Once in awile (every easter) is okay for my children to eat them, but otherwise I think peeps are a wonderful idea, and I love how in the markets they have chocolate dipped and chocolate covered peeps. Mmmm, so good...

BUY Marhsmallow Peeps Lavendar Easter Bunnies 12ct.

Buy Peeps

Pat the marshmallow into prepared pans: Lightly grease two pans or one larger one and pour the marshmallow into the pans. Cut out your Peeps: Combine a little cornstarch and powdered sugar and dredge the cookie cutters in between cuts to make things smoother and less sticky. Cover the marshmallow sheets for about 4 hours or overnight: Then when you're ready, just turn the marshmallow out onto a flat surface and gather the cookie cutters. While there is a perfectly good recipe for marshmallow Peeps in our archive, it requires use of a pastry bag and some deft ability with said bag. As someone who's never made marshmallows before, let alone any recipe requiring a candy thermometer, I was admittedly a bit worried about how these Peeps would turn out. I'm not sure where the harebrained idea to make my own marshmallow Peeps came from, but I'm sure glad it did. Add food coloring: I divided my marshmallow into two parts, for two colors. After just under 15 minutes of whisking: The marshmallow is ready to go, or add food coloring as I did. Add another 1/2 cup of water and use the stand mixer's whisk attachment to beat on high speed for about 12 to 15 minutes total. Prepare the candy mixture: In a medium-sized pot, heat the sugar, corn syrup, salt and vanilla over high heat. I confess I've never bought Peeps at a grocery store &mdash. Apply the sanding sugar: Dip your finger into a little water and coat the entire marshmallow. 15 drops of food coloring to achieve the pale pastel color I wanted.

Anyway, usually with anime, the anime or manga come first, then books later and books usually suck (no I haven't read the Haruhi ones yet but I bet they're awesome and blah. First, the books actually came first, and the sequel, Banner of the Stars, is also from books, but alas, can't find them online. However, if it tastes like ass, then I take back all praise and will once more call them dumb-asses of the highest caliber. So they take normal yogurt and put lactases and vitamin D3 in it. That's actually fucking brilliant. well, I bought it. Haven't eaten it yet, but I looked on the label to see how they did it. Fucking lactases.   But first, I ought to put on my bitch hat and shoo away all the ugly tree victims.
