Works great.
This crimper works as advertised and is worth the cost. I feel that the tool is made very well, it's heavy, ratchets very smoothly and the crimps are perfect. One word of caution... if you are looking for a one handed crimper, look elsewhere. This definitely requires two hands to crimp (unless you are a yeti or something).All in all, I think this is a great tool and can recommend it.

Watts Cinch Clamp
The tool is aptly named. Makes working with pex a breeze. I'm not a plumber by trade, but I can't imagine using anything different for pex rough-in.

Great PEX tool kit!
I have used this Pex crimp tool kit for 1", 3/4" and 1/2" tubing. I remodeled my entire house and installed all new PEX water lines and even made my own manifold. This tool is very simple to use and I had ZERO leaks (over 100 crimps). I will never go back to copper plumbing. :o)As for the review concerning leaks and properly calibrating the tool: Read the instructions included with this crimp set. It is a very simple procedure. You make a test crimp and use the go/no go gage to inspect. A simple adjustment will set the correct crimp compression depth. Be sure to use the go/no go gauge to check EVERY crimp that you make. Also the misshaped crimp described by the other reviewer was most likely caused by no having the crimp tool properly placed over the copper ring (I did this on one of my first connections). It is also important to place the copper ring correctly over the PEX barbs as this is how the copper ring compression seals the tubing to the fitting.

Disappointing Lenox 12121S1 PEX Cutter
It gets the job done with smaller sizes, but with anything 1/2 inch and larger it becomes problematic. That can be directly attributed to the fact that with the exception of the cutter blade, hinge bolt, and spring this tool is made entirely of plastic. The frame torques when cutting heaver tubing, and you will be unable to get a square cut. I purchased this model based on past experience with the Lenox brand. This is the first time I have ever been disappointed with one of their tools. I incorrectly assumed that based on it's price premium over comparable tools it would have a metal frame. I was wrong. I give it three stars only because it works well with rubber hoses which I use it for frequently. It is not a tool I would recommend for someone looking for a PEX cutter even though it advertized for that purpose. I would rate it 1 star PEX and 5 star runner/vinyl hose.

It makes the crimps
this tool is dependable and it makes a good crimp on the pex. I only used it for 1/2" pex. It does take a lot of hand strength to use this tool, but it does fit in small places and is a good product for for the do-it yourselfer. If your doing your whole house with pex then buy a professional crimper, but if you have only about 20-30 connections, then this product will save you some money.

Good Enough
This item must be disassembled to fit over crimp connectors which feels like a 3 handed job, for 3/4" PEX...Once assembled and well squeezed (in multiple increments with an extra-large vice-grip) the crimps on my house re-pipe all looked good and proved water tight :)

easy to use
I bought this item to complete some plumbing projects in a remodel. It worked as advertised, and was fairly easy to use. You do need a good pair of large channel-lock pliers to provide the crimping force. My only suggestion for this product would be to make the insert so that it would stay in place when attaching it to the Pex pipe.
