Good power-effecient box, couple quirks
This is good performing, low power consumption box. It is mostly fanless (there is a small fan in the PS), depending on what you're doing with it you may want to install a small fan in it. In one of them, I used a PCI "slot" fan which is OK, but uses up your one slot.Unlike older SuperMicro Atom-based servers, this one does include a PCIe riser card.Issues: There is no way to properly install a 2.5" drive without drilling your own holes. If you're lazy, you can install a 2.5" drive with a single screw and it will mostly stay in place. But this is a strange omission, and why I give it 4 stars. There is room to fit 2 2.5" drives in the case without any special brackets if they'd only put in those screw holes.I've also had problems getting a PCIe audio DSP card to be recognized. Not sure if the card has issues, or the slot is giving me problems.

I upgraded to this after purchasing the Norco W-609 cabinet. This is an extremely nice enclosure and it shows. The rails inside are neatly numbered and the paint looks high quality and thick. The edges on the cabinet are also rounded so you don't cut yourself on them accidentally. The cage nuts are VERY easy to install too, you can just pop them in with your fingers.The only downside I can even think of is, if you buy the optional caster set it is pretty annoying to mount them to the bottom of it because the holes are in kind of an odd place which makes it difficult to put the screws in properly.Bottom line: This is the second Tripp Lite product I've purchased, and I will definitely buy more in the future. Front and side access doors that lock as well as a swing-out for rear access. The front door could easily be pried open so this is not a security box. The box itself can be mounted so that the hinge swings either way.Has holes for wheel mount on bottom and top, holes for fan mounts, and removable panels for cable access top and bottom. This is my first rack i've purchased, and so far I am really pleased with it. It took me about 30-45 mins to set up. all the markings are neatly placed and the instructions are clear.it's not mentioned in the item description, but it comes with a pack of mounting screws for your devices and cable holders that can be mounted on the top of the rack to hold your cables.the packaging was pretty good too. i was left with a bunch of plastic wrap after, but oh well.i currently have my dell poweredge r410 server mounted on it with sliding rails. i have (2) 2TB drives with (2) 500GB drives (4 drives total), which means it's pretty heavy. if i slide it out all the way, i can feel the rack becoming a bit unbalanced, but you can adjust the depth of the rack and the sliding rails to accommodate the weight of the server. I also have my switch, PSU, and patch panel mounted on it, and it looks great. I can wait for the company to expand so i can load it up... Top to learn more

Can be 22-38" deep (and can even be adjusted after assembly, though I'd recommend not trying that with equipment in it); adjustments are also labeled to simplify lining up the various pieces required for the change. These racks are a breeze to assembleVery sturdy, Plenty of room, comes with lots of cage nuts and screws, also comes with cable management hooks the go on each post.I have this rack holding music equipment in a church.I installed two amps in the bottom to lower the center of gravity, made my own shelves out of plywood and 4 2" carriage bolts stuck through the square holes already on the side which hold my CD changer, tape deck, and computer.I ordered this through Amazon and their packaging was rough.
