It works.
It's an S-video cable and it works. Quality seems good; color isn't off or anything, and construction seems solid.Note: I have noticed some reviews for S-video cables saying you must have a 7-pin S-video connector to hook up to a 7-pin output (like on a laptop). As far as I can tell this isn't true; my laptop 7-pin output works fine with this cable which is 4-pin to 4-pin. The extra pins in the laptop output jack are used for transmitting RGB component video over a special 7-pin S-video cable, which I don't think ever caught on widely and has now been superseded by HDMI.

I bought (4) these cables to install in my basement that is being finished. They arrived in one day, in great condition, and work great. The price for these was unbelievable! The same cable at Radio-Shak would cost 5 times as much. Great price and delivery. Made in China, but work well.

Well worth the cost
Back in the day when SVID was the "state of the art", a cable of this length would have run you about $100! Of course with HDMI or even component video being a more recent stardard, the cable has lost it's value. But in any event, I paid under $6 for this 25-foot SVID cable and it performs just as well as I'd expect. No intereference (but with digital signals, intereference is rare anyway) and a smooth, thick jacket. Just what I needed to run video signal from my PC in the basement to the TV in the living room. Recomended.

4 pin S-video cable
By chance, while looking to upgrade my small computer monitor, I inspected the back of my computer and found that my older(10 yr old) Nvidia GForce MMX440 video card had a 4 pin s-video plug in. So I looked at my old(2001) Sanyo 27 inch TV and saw that it also had the 4 pin s-video plug in. I ordered this product and had it within a week and in 5 seconds I transformed my TV into my new computer monitor. It's great for watching video and movies and for playing games. I couldn't be happier. For less than 3 dollars, I got this product and the plug in for my sound card and upgraded my monitor and stereo sound for the computer. I'm very pleased!!

Good one for its price
Use it for connecting my laptop to TV or DVD player to TV (till i get an HDMI for that). It works and the cable is thick & sturdy. you might get a cheaper cable at Amazon from other sellers, but then you have to pay shipping. So, if you are getting free shipping on this from Amazon (throgh Prime or total order price higher than 25) then better buy this one. Belkin is known for good products.

this is an ok product. initially it was not properly going into the s-video socket, but finally managed to get it working , ok for connecting DVD player/ VHS to TVIf you are buying it to connect laptop to Standard TV, try 7pin s-video + audio to RCA cable. check the type of s video socket of your device and find the matching cable

Swapping the old 3 prong cable for this 2 prong with the S-Cable connection was a great idea. Really cleaned up the image from our older satellite box! Totally worth doing and this cable is a bargain at $14!

Good fit, Crisp image
I agree with D. Steiner about the cables flexibility, allows for easy movement of attached devices without pulling the cable off.I use this cable to connect my laptop to my T.V. and the image is very crisp for videos. This is, by the way, the reason I bought this cable. You'll enjoy browsing the internet on the T.V. as well. The text on the sites are clear as well as the images. The s-video plugs fit tight on both ends. I should have gotten a longer cable, though I'm not sure if GE has a longer model.
