I recently began using Salmon in the pouch and really like how convenient it is to use and it taste great. The pouch is very easy to open just by tearing the top of the pouch which has a pre-made notch to initiate an easy opening. Once the pouch is open it is not resealable. The Salmon can be eaten directly out of the pouch or you can empty the contents to make a salad or other meal. I now keep some of these Salmon pouches at work and I carry a few in my every day carry (EDC) bag in case I get stuck somewhere and need a quick, easy, and healthy snack to keep me going. Great canned salmon!
We've been eating the Wild Planet tuna for a while (and it's also excellent), and decided to give this a try. It's more expensive, but very very good, with real salmon flavor and texture. It truly is skinless and boneless, and in nice big chunks (it's like a big piece of fish in the can, with maybe some smaller chunks to fill the space and weight needs). And being wild-caught, and in BPA-free cans, there's the added assurance that they're good for you!This would be excellent in a salmon salad, but what I do with it most often is a salmon hash, with sweet potatoes. It's also good mixed into mac & cheese! For those of us who don't have regular reliable sources of fresh wild sockeye this is really a great option.

Best canned salmon I've had
Great canned salmon. Tastes good and is meaty and whole fish in a can; not flaky and ill tasting like many of the kinds I've tried in stores. On a per lb. price its actually a great deal, I will buy again. I just hope it stays around amazon.

Another vote for YUM!Scent, presentation, portion, flavor, yum yum yum.So addictive, in fact, that I'm online trying to see if I can get more/comparable salmon for less!For what this is, I'm sure it's a great deal... and I'm sure I'll be back.BUT I NEED MORE SALMON.In other news, Wild Planet is fantastic. Excellent canned salmon!
Wild caught, no added salt, great price. Great flavor too.Bones and skin are pretty normal in canned salmon and mix right into a salad. A source of calcium, actually. And Omega 3 oil is highly recommended.Add some herbs and lemon juice (and maybe even a little salt), some fine chopped sweet onions, some fresh garlic ... have a feast!I don't buy many canned or other prepared foods because of the high salt and other additives, so this is great to find! I notice this company also carries no salt added tuna - also a great price.

Canned Alaskan Pink Salmon
Can't beat the price. No sales tax and no shipping is awesome!And the best part is just try finding low-sodium Salmon (or any other products) at your regular grocery store and if you can then you usually pay a premium for it.I am on the low-sodium DASH type diet and plan on buying this product again in the near future. Oh yeah! It is very delicious especially with a splash of Tabasco, right out of the can or make a nice Salmon salad out of it!I am getting hungry just thinking about it right now. :^)Go Amazon! Get some more low-sodium and NO-SALT/SODIUM products and you will definitely be getting a lot more business.There are many many people suffering from high-blood pressure that need these products and I will certainly spread the word!

Great Instant Meal!
This offers what i thought was impossible: a combination of 1.ready to eat 2. delicious 3. healthy/no preservatives/no weird non-food ingredients 4. low calorie/fat/sodium and 5. filling/satisfying. A great way to incoporate more fish and legumes into my diet. Great with some tomato wedges. I eat these at my desk, but also when out in the field miles from any restaurant. Also excellent for camping/hiking or on car trips (to avoid fast food joints). Much lower salt than most ready-to-eat preparations. Mine even came with some delicious honey which was suprsingly good in the salmon meal. Gotta love sporks. The amazon price per can is excellent.

Love St. Dalfour's Wild Salmon
We love this product. I saw a recipe for it recently, but decided St. Dalfour's version was much easier and probably nearly as good as fresh-made. My husband called from Lee's Ferry in Arizona just before he launched a three-week trip down the Colorado River through Grand Canyon, and he took time to mention how good the Gourmet on the Go Wild Salmon had been for supper. This was a very expensive phone call with only one other possibility to talk in the coming three weeks, so his choice of topics tells you how good it really was!

I am afraid to give a review
because somebody else may finish it up. I love this stuff, at $2.2 per pouch per meal this is a extremely healthy deal. I hope amazon keeps the same price and product in stock for years to come. Salmon is a gem of fish foods in that its extremely low in mercury (around the same as sardines - Google "Mercury Levels in Commercial Fish and Shellfish" at FDA website) and its just as palatable as Tuna. Its also rich in omega 3 including EPA/DHA so i can order less of those. I eat two pouches of this daily and its helping me build some good muscles with lot of protein in it.

I ordered this product before & this particular wild salmon is lower in sodium than tuna & healthier as well. I always take it on my air flights & is safe to travel with. no oil is better & most people are aware of the benefits of oily fish which salmon is of that group.

Good Salmon
Not everyone has the same expectations for smoked fish. Some people prefer it smoked to a crisp; other people prefer smoked fish that is nearly raw. The folks at Seabear seem to have found a good, in between, place.I've used this product several times and have always enjoyed it. The salmon is smokey and flavorful, flakey, firm, and tasty. The salmon ships in foils pouches, each containing a couple of ounces of salmon oil. You can pour it down the drain if you prefer a drier fish (but that's a lot of good omega-3 fatty acids to waste). Used in salmon pasta with a little olive oil, sundried tomatoes, and a little black pepper (let it sit over night in the fridge for the flavors to mix) it is a summer favorite. If you like your smoked salmon moderately moist, yet firm, Seabear is a good choice.

Even if Atlantic salmon are the breed of choice (for the producers, not necessarily the consumer) over wild-caught Alaskan salmon because they grow slightly faster and are a bit more docile, there’s no such thing as a superior salmon species. As much damage as Atlantic salmon are already doing to the Pacific ocean, this new genetically modified farmed salmon could double it. Specifically engineered to grow to maturity twice as quickly, we have no idea what it might do if it escapes... Additionally, farmed salmon have an unappealing grayish tinge because they never eat their natural diet of krill that give wild-caught salmon their natural, pink flesh. Researchers revealed that AquAdvantage, an artificial salmon and case study for this bill, was found to be contaminated with Infectious Salmon Anaemea (1). Again, the fish farmer counters this problem by feeding the farmed salmon a chemical called canthaxanthin which turns the flesh into a more appealing, albeit unnatural, shade of pink. The bill has been sponsored by Alaskan Senator Mark Begich, in order to protect the quality and sustainability of Alaskan wild-caught salmon, which he knows consumers value (2). This disease, which has been known to cause epidemics with a 90% death rate in salmon farms, is only one of the many ecological dangers that this fish could pose.
