Great Sawhorse...!!
This product does exactly what it is supposed to... It is strong, it is light, and easy to store. One suggestion that I might offer... the promotional material that I have seen for the product mentions the fact that you can cut a 29 1/2 inch long piece of 2x lumber to use as a protective top rail. Actually, a 29 3/4 inch long piece of 2x4 is what fits the best. Great product...!!! Top to learn more
Good Portable Sawhorse
I have used quite a few different plastic sawhorses in the last ten years. This model of the Storehorse seems to be one of the best overall. It is much easier to put up and down than most of the others that I have used. It is reasonably strong compared to the others, yet it is still light and compact when folded. And I do like the built in 2x2 receiver tray on top. I cover a piece of 2x2 with carpet and use them that way. When the 2x2 gets rather abused, I just replace it and I have another like new top. Excellent sawhorse.
Not much competition for this type of folding sawhorse with bottom tray, but this particular model is excellent! The yellow top bracket holds a 2x2 (required), which seems like a problem initially, but is actually a greatadvantage and improvement over earlier models! Top to learn more

A lot better than I thought they would be!
I figured these would serve their purpose of a quick cheap pair of sawhorses. Since the main parts are made of plastic I didn't really expect too much from them. What I needed was a tall pair of sawhorses that I could lay a sheet of OSB Sheathing on for a makeshift worktable. Since I'm 6'4" and have injured my lower back I needed something high enough that I wouldn't have to bend or stoop over to use. Since I could make these as tall as I wanted or needed they were perfect. What I didn't expect was how sturdy they actually are! I made mine with 4' cross pieces and 36" legs. With three 2x4 studs across them and a sheet of 7/16 x 4'x8' OSB Sheathing on that, they made the perfect work table for cutting lengths of insulation off a roll for installing in the walls of my new workshop. Then it made the perfect platform to stand on while putting the insulation between the trusses on the inside of the roof. I'm 250 pounds and could walk around on top of it without a single wiggle or wobble of...

Solid Horse
Even though they're made of plastic, the finished horse is very solid. Two things to keep in mind. Once you put them together they don't fold up but you can stack them. They don't take up that much room. The other thing is if you want to use treated lumber, you can't. Treated lumber has a slightly larger dimension and won't fit. Standard lumber works just fine. I was going to use lag bolts to assemble them but the included hardware was sufficient. For $40.00 and a little assembly time, you'll have a solid pair of horses.

Good, sturdy sawhorse brackets for the money
I bought these to replace a set of cheap ones that the legs kept falling out of (see review on Fulton #8909 sawhorse brackets). I got them for a good price through Amazon and have been very pleased so far. I like the fact that these brackets come with feet to make the legs more stable and a second cross brace for the same reason. I had no problem using the 2x4s from the old horses to make the new ones. Some reviewers have said that the 2x4s they had would not fit and I expect that can happen because of differences you often see in finished lumber. If I were cutting new pieces for the braces, I would measure what I was buying just to make sure. The only reasons I gave these brackets 4 stars is that you can't fold them up when not in use and I felt they needed some extra bolts to secure the top rail (I used a drill and added some short carriage bolts). Otherwise, they seem to be very sturdy.

Great sawhorse
These sawhorses are very versatile. I especially like the adjustable height. Right now I put a 3'x4' sheet of 3/4" MDF on them and am using them as a temporary workbench/assembly table. They're plenty sturdy for my purposes and the lower shelf is very convenient for holding small tools while I work (hand drill, jig saw, etc). Top to learn more

Stanley Sawhorse
I love these sawhorses and I would have given them a higher rating if they were made tougher and had written instuctions. Because I didn't read the pictures correctly (no written instructions) I ended up putting a crack in one of the lower support beams when I tried to raise (force) the sawhorse to a height that I needed at that moment. Had I known that you need to close the sawhorse first and than change the height I could have avoided that. Even so, the sawhorses survived me and still work great. They store great, are light and will probably outlive me. :-) Top to learn more

Very good on the whole
These sawhorses (2 per pack) are very stable, seem plenty durable, the top raises easily and stays firmly in place. The tool tray is useful, and there's a convenient "pull" handle to open them. However, there are two little issues that prevent me from giving this 5 stars.First, when the top supports are extended, the extension wings are pretty flimsy. In every other way, these horses seem durable, but these wings are made of flimsy plastic and have little internal support. The result--they twist easily, bend downward with little pressure, and seem like they'd break easily. Now, if you're always laying material on them perfectly flat, you should be fine because the load will mostly be carried on the strong top member. Just don't put weight on the wings alone. The second problem is more of a packaging issue. The package comes with two "smart v-groove attachments" that fit on the ends of the top member to support a 2x4 (either flat or on its side) or a pipe,... Top to learn more

Great Sawhorses for a Tall Guy
Several years ago, I bought two of these sawhorses. I used them for a lot of things but mostly for supporting a door that I use as a portable worktable. They work great. I was so impressed that I bought two more a couple years ago. Recently, one of the original sawhorses collapsed while I had my thickness planer on it. I had not checked to insure the locking mechanism at the bottom of the sawhorse was engaged when I sat it up then later tripped over the leg of it as I walked by.I put a fair amount of investigation into why the sawhorse had failed and dropped my thickness planer (while it was running). I discovered (1) the sawhorse was a very old model whose locking mechanism was poorly designed. There was no real `positive lock' when it is opened. (This has been fixed-read on.) (2) Because the sawhorse was not locked, it had twisted and pulled the track of the sawhorse away from the bottom shelf. (3) Of course tripping on the leg of the sawhorse with my toe as I walked by... Top to learn more

Saw Horse King
I bought a pair of these saw horses a while back at another location at a time when I needed a set. The 36" height is great! No bending over to stain, measure or cut wood. I was so glad to see them listed on Amazon that I quickly ordered another set. They are strong, sturdy, light and fold right up. Another thing I like is that they stand when folded so they don't have to lean against something while storing. You will love these saw horses......I sure do!! Top to learn more

Serious saw horses for serious work
Our remodeling company recently bought a set of these saw horse legs because they're easy to transport, fast to set up (no nails or screws are needed), can be made as long or short as needed, and are super strong. Most of us are tall, so we used 2x6s for the cross bars to give us a more comfortable working height than typical horses offer. We like to use 52 inch long 2x6s for the cross bars to give us a little extra support beyond the 49 inch width of MDF sheets. Here's an example of how strong these saw horses are. We took two saw horses and covered them with a row of 4 foot long TJI scraps laid flat. On top of the TJIs we laid a 4 foot by 4 foot piece of ¾ inch OSB. That made a table about the same height as the back of a flat bed delivery truck. The truck was going to deliver 36 bags of concrete, each weighing 90 pounds. When the truck arrived, we had it drive up to the table. One carpenter stood on top of the table while another one stood on the truck and handed... Top to learn more

The best saw horses I've ever used, by far
For years I have made my own saw horses and have tried many, many retail versions, but fortunately while working with another contractor, I discovered these. I now own two sets and these are certainly the simplist and the best saw horses I have ever used. They come assembled and are "scissor-action" where all you have to do is open one onto one end of a 2x4 and another onto the other end. If you clamp one pair slightly less far apart than the other pair, when not in use, the two horse can be moved next to each other to take the place of only one saw horse. When the connecting 2x4 gets cut up from use, simply replace it with new one and your back in business. They are very, very solid, stable, and although expensive, certainly worth it. I'm writing this review while buying my third pair (and the other remain in excellent condition). Top to learn more

no nonsense horses
I met these horses when some hotshot framers from oregon showed up at the jobsite with a whole bunch of attitude and some fancy tools. Besides the titanium hammers, these were my favorite gadgets of theirs. These horses, once properly set up, will hold ANYTHING. We stacked forty 2X8X18s on them and started cutting them for rafters. Occasionally, two or more carpenters also climbed on top to nail above and these horses didn't groan. The rafters had steel c-channel sistered on them, and once the wood was up, we stacked almost a ton of steel on the horses and started working on them. They never gave any sign of stress. Any length 2X can be installed as the top, giving the opportunity to make a wider set of horses if need be, but the drawback is that once set up, they don't fold for transport, you have to break them down first. Made strong and simple, great for framers and siding guys. Top to learn more

I've got the shorter version, buy the height for you.
After I went through three cheap sets of sawhorses in a year I thought maybe I should give these a try (seems like I sneeze on some of the other models available and something breaks on them. Seventy dollars and week for shipping later I got these. They take some initial setup, you supply the wood. Takes maybe 15 minutes to get 2 sawhorses put together, including time to get the tools out and put back away. After that, these things were all business, 22 twelve foot pressure treated 2x8's and not a squeak of complaint. The weak point in the whole setup? I'd say the 2x4 I used... I think when I need to replace the boards I'm going to go cut up some 4x4's just for good measure and the extra 1 1/2 inch of height.Just a matter of opinion, after playing with some trojan sawhorses, I think these are the better of the 2. handy, compact sawhorses
As a professional remodeling contractor I try to bring everything but the kitchen sink onto the job. For all the tools in the back of my truck there is absolutely no room for wood, homemade horses. Also, I won't saw on the ground and the older I get the less I want to stoop over to pick up materials. That's where these horses come in. I've had a set of these horses for 5 yrs. and they've worked well for me. One tip - glue the leg tips on. One weak point - the flat piece of metal that the legs swing into & click into can snap off. To be realistic though, nothing is indestructable. Top to learn more

Portable shooting bench
While doing a search for shooting benches, I came across plans for a DIY bench, which recommended the "Rugged Buddy" folding sawhorse legs. I read some other ideas for DIY benches & settled on this plan. Since receiveing my 'sawhorse' legs, I've followed the plans and ended up with what I consider to be a very nice shooting bench. I plan on using it this sunday at an air rifle match, and if time allows, a .22 rimfire match in the afternoon. These folding legs are very well made and are quite steady. You may need to do some shiming on one corner, but other than that, this is one 'rock steady' bench. Also, I would recommend using round head or carridge bolts to attach the plywod top to the legs, and the better choice for the stiffner is the aluminum or steel angle stock.I can haul this thing around on my power wheelchair, so I guess that's a testament to its portability. I did do the 'handle' cutout and a couple friends have used it to tote it around. The key to that is to... Top to learn more
