more useful than I thought it would be
Initially I needed the T-5 torx bit, but I use this set more and more lately. The driver part has a metal shaft and a plastic/rubber handle with a swivel top. It is more stiff than I thought, and while not a professional product, I doubt this will break anytime soon. The bits are not standard 5mm bits but a reduced 4mm size, so they are not interchangeable with most drivers. My set has: torx 20, 15,10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3 hex (allen) 4mm, 3, 2.5, 2, 1.5, 1.3, 0.9, 0.7mm flat screwdriver 3, 2.5, 2, 1.5, 1.0 PZ1, PZ0 Philips screwdriver PH1, 0, 00, 000 and the driver.

very convenient
There is a huge variety of bits and they are all magnetical. The case is very durable along with the screwdriver that comes with it. The problem is that the bit tips are very weak and bend REALLY easy. I understand that you should be gentle while using small bits like this, but these tips just hardly have the strength to take out commercial screws and they bend way to easily. They should have coated the tips in something stronger. I probably wouldn't recommend these to a friend.

Finally!
It took six shows deep into season two but they're finally on the right track. I imagine someone high enough up on the food chain finally reviewed the season footage and had the epiphany of, "Hey, don't people want to see zombies in a zombie show? Maybe we should give them more of that." They almost have the rule figured out: zombies must be seen at least twice in every episode, and the first one must be seen within the first 20 minutes, minimum. This time it took until the second half hour so they're close, so close, but regardless its definite progress. It helped that they were tackling some weighty issues in the first half: Are walkers just seriously sick people, not fully responsible for their actions? How badly does something need to be scavenged; is it worth risking somebody's life to get it? And I particularly liked that gun control and abortion were dealt with realistically and without political bias. A baby's cry could feasibly cause someone's death. That's a...

Too Much Drama, Too Soapy And I Wonder If They Ever Gonna Move Away From That Farm?
*spoilers* Comparing what we have seen so far to the first season, something is missing and this season definitely does not measure up. Where is all the bleakness, horror and urgency that was so dominant in the first season? The desperation of the existential kind? The terror? The interpersonal struggles and drama that never got trite? The first season had a kind of sinister undertone to it. This one feels like a handful of sunshine as it is filled with episodes full of sappiness and sentimentalities and I still cannot get that touchy/feely soap opera style out of my head. This whole thing of drawing out the announcement of the pregnancy to Rick and the "who is the father" story line are just about two of the most tired clichees out there. They really should not be employing it in a series that set the stage for the zombie apocalypse quite beautifully. It just diminishes its quality. Yes it is great that the question of "should we have a child in this zombie...

Apple TV - Good Now, Potential to be Great
I am not an Apple Afficianodo. I don't wear jeans and black turtlenecks in reverence to Steve Jobs. I don't hang out at the Apple Store and covet becoming a "genius"; however, I have to give credit where credit is due. The last few products Apple has brought out - the iPod, iPhone, iPad - have been incredible and changed the consumer electronics and media / software landscape. Apple TV is now positioned to do the same, but it will take some more time to fully realize the potential of this device. Apple TV effectively allows you to stream whatever is on your iTunes to your TV and home theater system. Moreover, it has built in support for Netflix, You Tube and a few other internet based media content providers. The picture quality and performance for these services are worth the price of admission. There is significant potential to advance the platform - just give it some time. System Overview: My Apple TV is plugged into a 60 inch Samsung 1080p LED HDTV...

Unrealized Potential (so far)
PROS *Low Power (less than 6 watts) *Compact *Good-looking UI *Netflix support (unlike previous generation AppleTV) *Remote App for iPad/iPhone/iPod touch *Airplay (though basically we just have Airtunes functionality until iOS 4.2 comes out for iPad/iPhone/iPod touch). *Closed Captions (Content dependent) CONS *Lots of "Loading..." screens *No Local Storage! (must stream over Internet or via iTunes on PC/Mac using Home Sharing. I know you were trying to cut costs Apple, but why not at least allow local USB storage? I know, I know: DRM.) *IR Sensor inferior to previous generation AppleTV (requires more direct line of sight) *Lag before videos and podcasts start playing (even when located on a local computer) *Netflix controls are not as good as Roku. Infrequent keyframes makes it hard to rewind to an exact spot. Roku does much better (and even PS3 Netflix controls are better). *Podcast...

KAN-ZEN
About a decade ago was the masterpiece that launched one of the best Strategy simulation franchises in gaming history. It was a perfectly balanced game that combined turn-based strategic decisions with real time battles in a beautiful interface made in the style of medieval Japanese artworks. The game was based on the teachings of Sun Tzu, the Chinese strategist, who believed in the indirect approach: search for comparative advantages, use your forces with economy, surprise and deceive, and only fight limited wars. The medieval Japanese setting (relatively small armies made up from a limited number of distinct units fighting on different terrains), served as the perfect substrate to implement these strategies. I have played every single Total War game since and they were all a joy to experience - yet nothing...

Top of the Total War Trophy Closet
This review is for the original Shogun 2 Total War and not for Limited or other special versions of the game. I haven't played Limited Edition or any other version so am not qualified to critique those. I also do not engage in multiplayer so I have nothing to say about multiplayer. If you're looking for critiques of any of the aforementioned then this review will likely be of no use to you. Also, thusfar I have only played the game on Normal difficulty. I cannot speak to potential improvements or degradations at higher difficulties. On with the review... Shogun 2 Total War from the Total War series is absolutely the best. It absolutely blows Empire out of the water (a game with which I was not very pleased). When Empire came out I believed CA was going in the wrong direction with the series. Whatever they were doing, Shogun 2 definitely put the series back on a fair heading. I will start with the negative: AI:...

Whatever
I don't know what these clowns are complaining about, but I absolutely love this game. Granted, Steam sucks complete a**. But you know what? If it weren't for Steam, the only PC game you would ever play would be some worthless port. Your first clue in that this might be a decent game is that there is no PS3 or Xbox version. This game was made exclusively for PCs and takes full advantage of my new setup. The direct x 11 graphics are beyond cool; they are, at times at least, absolutely breathtaking. The AI is rather good, especially on the battlefield with the battle difficulty turned up. There is just simply no limit to what you can do as far as recreating famous battle tactics and maneuvers from history. Show me another non-pos, non-port game where you can do that. As for the kid whining about being attacked his first turn, go play COD. As a Civ IV addict who was absolutely disappointed (and rather nauseated) with what they did to that game, I was excited to see that I...

Great collection for fans old and new
The Very Best of Fleetwood Mac retrospective is a nice warm up for the holidays, which should please fans old and new. The retrospective, which features the classic Rumours lineup, includes all the hits (and then some) from the 1975 "white" album through 1997's reunion album The Dance. It's refreshing to find some new elements incorporated into this release, making it more than just your standard best-of. Some of these highlights include single versions for Rhiannon, Over My Head, Think About Me and Sisters of the Moon -- all previously unavailable on CD. There's also a different mix of Silver Springs, emphasizing Stevie Nicks' affective pleas at the end of the song (some of the vocal overdubs have been removed). Overall, the sound quality is excellent. Remastered by engineering heavyweights Bill Inglot and Dan Hersch, the tracks have never sounded this good, particularly the ones from Rumours and Mirage. Everything is clean and crisp, with bass and high-end...

FINALLY!!!
I own many greatest hits CD's (including "Fleetwood Mac's Greatest Hits" from 1988), and one thing I've learned is that very few of them actually contain every single notable track one could want. There's always a few missing, be it a Top 40 single or an album track that received heavy airplay. Rhino Records was basically created for the music collector who wants the ultimate compilations, and while they still don't always manage to get everything "right", they come way closer than anyone before them ever have or ever will. Yeah, the live acoustic version of "Big Love" from "The Dance" is here instead of the hit single version from "Tango In The Night" and "Greatest Hits" (probably because it's shorter). Conversely, the studio version of "Silver Springs" is here instead of the more popular live version from "The Dance". And there are a few songs - most notably "Rhiannon" and "Over My Head" - that are significantly edited to fit more songs on the collection. I compared both...

Something for everyone, and then some!
Don't let the naysayers put you off... this is an excellent collection of Fleetwood Mac's post-1975 music (the band has existed since 1967).Longtime Mac fans were disappointed by the lack of pre-1975 music here, but the truth is, the majority of American fans are not the least bit familiar with the band's earlier music. Aside from perhaps "Oh Well," and "Hypnotized," which still get airplay on Classic Rock radio stations, the pre-Buckingham & Nicks material is not widely known to the audience this compilation is aimed at.Those wishing to hear early Mac have little to complain about, as dozens of compilations exist focusing on that era of the band's career. This collection is merely meant to spotlight the achievements of the most commercially successful version of Fleetwood Mac, and to serve as an appetizer for their upcoming Spring 2003 release... and it does that quite remarkably. The hits "Over My Head," and "Rhiannon," are included in their (arguably) more well-known...

Spanning 22 years, this double-disc, 36-track compilation chronicles the initially unlikely and ultimately triumphant conflation of a failing, veteran English neo-blues band (Mick Fleetwood and the McVies) with a pair of mercurial American also-rans (the baroque folk-rock genius Lindsey Buckingham and crypto-songbird Stevie Nicks). The creative alchemy was immediate, as 15 epochal tracks ("Dreams," "Say You Love Me," "The Chain," "Don't Stop") from Fleetwood Mac and Rumours here attest. They could have arguably repeated that mega-successful formula for a decade, but chose a more musically expansive tack, represented "Sara," Think About Me" and the other core tracks drawn from the ambitious Tusk. While the band's megahit luster faded as the solo careers of Buckingham and Nicks took flight in the '80s, their power was still apparent in the dusky-bright pop of Christine McVie's "Hold Me" and "Little Lies." Sequenced with compelling listening rather than chronology in mind, this set also includes the strongest of the Mac's latter-day recordings (Nicks's "Paper Doll," "Silver Springs," and "No Questions Asked"; McVie's "As Long As You Follow"), as well the Lindsey Buckingham showcases "Go Insane" and "Big Love" from '97's The Dance. --Jerry McCulley Top to learn more

Having worked with Microsoft products for too many years I instinctively “save” my work with every 2 or 3 changes…like taking a breath between thoughts. When restarted, the “recovered” document is 2 or 3 manual saves behind the actual saved document. Running a Microsoft application on a Mac highlights Microsoft’s inability to design a user experience that is based on the “user”…especially different users. If you want Outlook you need another version that includes it or you can but this version and buy Outlook later. If you are not a power user then you might want to try Pages and Numbers from Apple which will cause you much less pain for your effort and feel more like Mac products. If you require Microsoft specific, detailed functionality then you are likely used to Microsoft and will get something that is all too familiar. The Ribbon is overkill for the casual user and a tiresome pain in the arse for power users. Word, Excel and PP are usable, and in some ways a touch more refined than Office 2003 for PC…perhaps that is just the Mac itself. This version will give you the Outlook icon when you install the other 3 and if you click on it you have the option to buy Outlook. This doesn’t make the software bad but it does provide a user experience that unintuitive at times for those used to a Mac workflow. Microsoft’s UI is typical of a developer/Microsoft centric view of functionality.

Because of that, nobody was selling or buying Apple devices while I was growing up. So, I did not even see “the device Microsoft copied UI from” (Although I think XEROX was the first with GUI) before I moved to Austria to my M. A. studies. How I understood that commercial, they wanted you to be rebel and buy Mac. “Mac versus PC” … Apple marketing department could have googled that “PC” stands for “Personal Computer”. More about why I got offended there and said to myself not ever to buy Mac are beneath following lines. If Mac is not a Personal Computer than what is it. Is it a public computer. Once that happens, we recommend making a backup of the file and selecting to include the media, then you can restore that file and all of the media will be included in your Family Tree Maker folder on your computer. I have also contacted ftm about a major problem with the software which is that upon importing into a new file your files are MOVED not copied from their original location and put into the FTM Media file. If it was only linked to the media that was on your flash drive and it isn’t on your computer anywhere, then you will need a computer technician to try and recover the media that you deleted from that flash drive. If you have any or all of the media on your computer somewhere, then you can load that media back into Family Tree Maker following the steps on the website below. If a computer technician is able to recover that media, then you should be able to plug in your flash drive again so that the program loads the media.
