I also envy anybody who can buy this machine straight through Amazon. you lucky ducks you ;-) I had to pay forty dollars for shipping.Please let me know if you do hear strange noises. I am curious as to how many people get coins stuck inside the drum. It actually took me a while to figure out where the noise was coming from and took the bottom and back panel off, but the noise still continued. I'm not sure how the quarter became stuck in there, and still baffles me to this day. Please keep me updated with any concerns regarding noises. Hopefully, other owners or myself can help.As far as the effectiveness of the machine, 5 stars says it all. To note, this washer machine doesn't have a drum spindle (not sure what you call the part that takes up space in most washers), so you can actually fit many more articles or clothing and/or towels inside...

We love this machine!
I purchased this washer from Target through Amazon last month and I couldn't be more pleased with it. I have been reading the reviews of these the little Haier washers for several months so I was prepared for how the bottom plate works (it bulges out), for the fact that we would struggle a bit getting the screws through the plate and that we needed teflon tape and good pliers to really tighten the hose connections. We were very careful in doing all that and we have no leaks and no odd noises. The sink adapter fit my sink perfectly so I didn't have to find a replacement. All and all, the set-up was easier than I expected.As far as using it goes, the loads are larger than I thought they would be, the clothes come out very clean and well spun out so they dry quickly. The controls are easy to understand and so far everything has worked as it is supposed to. Our household has three members, myself and two teenagers and so far it is keeping up with us and sparing us the hideous...

I have been using the Wonder Washer for several months. Before I was going to the laundry-mat every week and spending about $10 each week. Now I only go once every 4 to 6 weeks to wash the larger items. This machine paid for itself in about 2 months. The loads are small, only 2 blouses at a time (maybe 3 if they are very light weight). I tried washing 3 medium weight blouses and the machine started moving all over the counter and was having trouble swirling the clothes. The knobs are hard to turn (only about 1.5 inches in diameter) and lifting the wash-tub (the manufacture calls it a bucket) on & off the base-unit takes some doing as it is heavy when full of water (total weight approximately that of a 3 gallons bottle of water). The machine washes by spinning the clothes one directions for a few seconds and then the other direction a few seconds back and forth for the duration of time you selected. A little like the front-load washers, only this machine spins the clothes...

No more early waking up and lagging heavy loads to Laundromat
This product is heaven sent.Prior to finding this product, I had to drag myself every three weeks out of bed at 5.30 in the morning just so I could eliminate the waiting time for washing machine availability in the Laundromat in our area. Exactly what I needed!
First off, I have to preface this by saying I have purchased the Wonder Washer and was greatly disappointed. This thing is a 100x better than the Wonder Washer. I own both and could not believe I wasted my money on the other washer. My needs were simple - a small washer that could wash normal items like jeans, sheets, pillow cases, bath towels... you name it. This is the washer that can do it. If you are living in a small apartment or are on a budget and are tired of schlepping clothes to the laundry every week or the endless hunt for quarters - this is for you.The washer is the perfect size to sit on a counter top. I put mine on my kitchen counter next to the sink when I need to do the laundry. The washer is actually fairly lightweight and comes with an easy carry handle, so moving it is not difficult. I love it!!!
I was very hesitant to purchase the machine, especially since there were no reviews yet on amazon. I was leaning towards buying the electric wonder washer but it only held about 2 pounds of clothes. Since this panda machine held 5 pounds, I decided to cross my fingers and go for this one. I just received it and have only done about 4 loads in it and I'm very impressed. The machine is made of good materials, alot of dirt comes out of the clothes, and the smelled very nice and looked clean coming out. You can fit quite alot of clothes in there too like 8 t-shirts and a bunch of undergarmets, and pajamas or a couple pairs of jeans and shirts.In the instructions, after the wash cycle (that can be set anywhere between a minute-15 minutes depending on how soiled the clothes are ), it recommends that you wash the clothes with plain water for a rinse cycle but I found it to be quicker to just throw the clothes in the bathtub and rinse while I was doing the next load in the...

This has changed my life
I live in a one-bedroom unit in a massive apartment building with 6 laundry machines in the basement. I did not buy this unit from Amazon but rather from a Chinese electronics dealer in my area. Haier is very popular in China and the machine came highly recommended by the dealer.The dealer delivered it to me, set it up and away we went. I have had this unit for about a month and here are my comments:1) The unit is quieter than a traditional laundry machine.2) I have had no problems with balancing the machine or with water intake. It fills quickly so long as there is high water pressure. The machine balances itself by stopping and starting until the clothes are balanced.3) The high water level can accommodate a lot of clothes. I do about 3 loads a week: shirts/undies, pants, and towels.4)It uses a lot less soap than traditional washers (about half I would say)5)The regular wash runs for about 45 mins which I found excessive. This washer has changed my life! I live in an apartment and having to go to the laundromat was killing my weekends. So, if you can think of nicer things to do than spending a Saturday or Sunday at the laundromat, this washer is for you.It is one of the larger compact washers out there - 20 inches wide. That way, it is large enough to fit a decent sized load, yet small enough to fit most closets and other tight spaces.I can usually wash either 10 XL t-shirts, 3 jeans, or one queen sized sheet set at once. Just make sure to load things loosely until the washer is full and select the high water level, which the washer does NOT do by default. Clothes come out perfectly clean. This washer works much better with liquid detergent than powder detergent, which tends to accumulate in the lint filter. Although it does have a powder detergent dispenser, I would advise against using powder detergent.The only two wash cycles I use are normal for almost everything...

No more laundromat!
I got a little angst-y over buying a portable washer--I hate, hate, hate the laundromat (we live in a 4th floor walkup apartment in Manhattan) but was still suspicious that a $220 machine could actually be the solution to our laundry problems! In fact, I did a lot of research before buying the Haier HLP23E and looked at some other much more expensive portable washers (like the GE and Whirlpool, which are both about $600 or more). Haier isn't a brand that I'm familiar with and I was worried this washer would be cheap/flimsy, would break right away, or would arrive damaged. However, after reading many, many reviews, I felt the general gist was--this is a pain in the butt to set up, Haier's customer service is not great, etc., instruction manual sketchy, etc., but the actual washer itself works well. honest opinion based on use
This washer does exactly what it says...it washes your clothes..you have to put clothes in, fill up with desired amount of water, use about 1/4 amount of usual detergent or you will pay for it later :)..set timer plug in and wash...it is a little noisy about the same noise as a regular washer and it fit right inside my tub..I have a small bathroom so the plug did reach the nearest socket...If you have pretty nice size bathroom you will need an extension of some sorts to reach the outlet. after the clothes are done washing you let the drain hose down in the tub and let the water drain out by gravity...for the rinse cycle you put the drain hose back up behind the washer and repeat the process of adding the water and just add your softner if you use it...You can rinse a second time if you like to make sure all the detergent and softner is out. After draining the final time clothes are just as soaked as if you hand washed them..A spin dryer is a necessity not an option trust me...I...

This Amana top-load washer is a good washer. It has many good features:It has 3.4 cu. ft. of capacity which is great for a top-loader. I have a king size blanket/comforter that will fit in this washer which means no more trips to the laundromat!It automatically locks the lid at certain times so it can spin faster. This enables better cleaning and is a good safety feature as well. Since I have small children, I appreciate this feature. If you forget to put something in and need to put it in after the cycle has started, you just have to pause the wash to get the lid to unlock.It shows you on the front at which point you are in the cycle with a light. This is not a necessity but just a nice feature. A typical wash on Normal Heavy (which is what I typically use) takes about an hour and ten minutes, which is not too long.It has a gray interior basket so you can see socks in it - no more losing socks in the washer!There are only two things I...

locking lid is unnecessary
This washer does a good enough job, and is quiet. The locking lid is unnecessary and waste detergent. The spin cycle is not so fast that it would cause the lid to open, i know this because i have watched the spin cycle and was able to lift the lid partially before the latch prevented it from fully opening. it waste detergent because now i have to rinse the detergent cup put in the sink or have it keep building up in the cup. This is the only major draw back of this machine and i will be disconnecting it when i finally get irritated enough to do it.

The good, the pretty good, and the noise!
This machine has some very likable features. The novelty of the locking lid is interesting, especially when there are babies running around the house who take off their dirty clothes and put them in the washing machine. 95% of the time it is fine but occasionally they throw muddly clothing in a load that is already in the rinse cycle. I also have a terrible habit of leaving the lid open while the washer is filling and going through its initial wash cycle. My old washer would not spin and rinse while the lid was open but it was still a bad habit. This one won't do anything until its lid is locked down to allow for a faster spin speed, according to the guide. I sort of wonder what kind of liability issue caused them to have to do something like this but it's probably better not to know. It probably had something to do with a cat.The spreckle basket: This is a nice old-fashioned touch. We had one in a 30-year-old Kenmore that was in our old farmhouse when we started...

I won’t buy clothes made of fabrics that disintegrate. my skin comes into contact with furnishings around my house, these furnishings are not considered to be dirty, so they don’t get washed, yet conversely my clothes would be considered dirty by some people’s standards. The thing I hate most about handwashing clothes is rinsing them out, and while washing the jeans I had a brain wave. I have many items of clothing I have never washed. The point I wish to make is that I don’t find it necessary to wash clothes often. Most clothes bought from Topshop or H&M only have three washes in them before the cotton goes bobbley and the fast-fashion becomes unwearable. I have some jeans I bought a year ago I have never washed.
