The full story on the "doesn't roll on hard floors" thing
After reading the reviews here that said this truck doesn't roll on hard floors, I decided to get it anyway, for all of its other virtues, and encouraged by the idea presented in one of the reviews here that removing the tires and adding lubricant would fix the problem.Now that I have it in my hands, I can attest that yes, it does have a problem rolling on hard floors. And the lubrication idea mentioned elsewhere doesn't fully address the problem. As it turns out, it's a combination of four minor design flaws that causes the rolling problem. To an extent, they can be addressed.1) The shafts the tires are mounted on are too tight. This is the most noticeable inhibitor of rolling, and the one issue addressed by the "adding lubricant" idea. Instead of an axle which runs all the way under the truck between two opposing tires, each individual wheel is mounted on its own plastic post. Great Truck!
I bought this truck for my 9mth old son. He loves putting things in and out of the bed and pushing it on the floor. The recycled plastic is very sturdy and I think this toy will last a very long time! The best part is that if it ever breaks beyond repair it can be placed in the recycling bin instead of the garbage can! I would recommend this toy for any child!

Just right!
I got this for my son when he was about 18 months old. He has a large collection of the giant mega bloks, so this was a nice addition. It comes with just enough to get a toddler started on stacking them if you don't already own more. My son prefers trucks that have a removable person in them, which this does. It's small and lightweight enough to take to the park or beach but big enough for younger kids to do some serious sand moving. And though it's lightweight and inexpensive, it seems sturdy and well-made-- not like a Tonka steel truck, but much more solid than those flimsy sand-toy trucks at the drugstore. An all-around hit for kids 1-3, and a great bargain.

My son's favorite dump truck
Though we don't use the blocks that came with it, my son absolutely loves this little dumper. He received it when he turned one and he's now two and still plays with it regularly. It's very lightweight and just the right size for a little man to maneuver around. It's also extremely durable plastic, and thankfully it washes up easily for indoor and outdoor play. Nice price, too!

Excellent Toy
This Dump truck is great. Our little man is on the cusp of walking and he likes this toy because he can get up onto his feet and push it around our house by its handle. Also, as his motor skills have developed, he has discovered that the back of the truck can be loaded up with wooden blocks and dumped back out again. We are looking forward to letting him play with it on the beach this summer.As far as being made in China, I must admit, that I don't care. I have read many reviews for Sprig products that are negative based on this issue and I find the reasoning false. The product is made from reclaimed materials and I find that is a good first step since, Sprig toys share shelf space with a sea of Chinese made plastic trinkets for us to buy. In that ocean of cheap, flimsy shiny new plastic toys, the Sprig truck really stands out. Awesome Dump-truck!
Our 4-yr old got this cool Dump Truck as a gift and couldn't be more pleased. We had the old model of this truck, but a bit disappointed that the other Sprig guys didn't fit it the cab. This new truck solved that issue and now the boy can load in his little dudes and everyone is happy! Sturdy and uses recycled plastic... the packaging was SUPER easy to get the toy out and recycle, no wire or zip-ties (yeah!). The China made doesn't bother us, it is really well made, like all the Sprig stuff we have.

Light green
We have looked at sprig toys for our oldest son in the past. They seem like nice toys but should not be sold (or purchased) on the basis of their "greeness". In fact any eco benefit from it's recycled materials is more than lost by shipping it halfway around the world. Green Toys brand toy trucks are made in California from recycled milk jugs. They are also quite nice so we went with one of those. BTW, some here have said that they are not bothered by "made in China"...that's a shame.
