A valuable resource

Free short story is impressive
I liked this short story. I was riveted by the characters. I was impressed about how much detail, personality and story line the author created in so few pages. This is a pre-story for the author's next book series with these characters and I am looking forward to next novel now that I am familiar with several of the main characters.The illustrations are beautiful and modern. I hope the future books have full color illustrations as well.

Not my cuppa, but don't pass it by!
I read a lot of kidlit and YA. Enough that I realize that this short story will have an audience that will like it. But that audience won't include me. There's action and a fun premise of Angel-halflings that need to train to fight to the dark side, but the writing isn't sophisticated enough for me.But like I said, I've read enough YA to know that this story is really going to appeal to those looking for an action oriented story.Pam T~

Ted has written a small cookbook filled with yummy recipes our doctor would not like us to eat --- at least not too often :-)Inside this small e-book you'll find a wide variety of pie recipes and a yummy recipe for Butter Tarts. For the uninitiated Butter Tars are the BEST as they are a tart pastry that's filled with a luscious filling that often include raisins or currants. Some people have been known to add chocolate chips. For me I like the currants or raisins. Thinking about Butter Tarts makes me want to run to the kitchen, even if the full heat of summer is upon us, and whip up a batch.This cookbook is worth buying for the Butter Tart recipe alone.Thanks Ted for compiling a select group of tasty recipes.Highly recommend.

Ted owned a Bistro
Why a cookbook from Ted? Because his food is good! OK, None of these recipes are going to make the top ten list of healthy recipes. If I wanted a healthy recipe book, I would get one that said "Healthy Recipes."Ted owned a Bistro in Canada, so his recipes include some wonderful British favorites, including Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding.While heavy on deserts, his, he has some hearty staples as well. Besides the Roast Beef (actually a Rib Roast), two that are "don't miss" recipes are his stew and dumplings and three cheese rice. The instructions on making the recipes is clear and make each of them easy to make.I really count on the Table of Contents in Kindle Books, and Ted has done a super job of both titles and a Table of Contents. But he has gone one step further, and won my heart. At the end of each recipe he has a quick link back to the table of contents. So if you are scanning for a good recipe, you can find your way around the book quickly...

Ted must be a Southerner, as I recognize a lot of these recipes.There is a hearty batch of desserts, with an emphasis on pies, which make up the majority of this nice little recipe book. There is also a handy little section on herbs and spices with a quick summary of, for example, what herb goes with what type of dish.If you're looking for a few quick dessert recipes, this is a good one. Ted, you're a man after my own heart!

I completed reading several books explaining e-book formattting
This e-book delivered the most value. Now I know that my e-book will be published. Isn't it unusual: a free e-book gives you the most?E-book formatting is not as clear as you want it to be, especially if you are very new to e-book publishing. There are several approaches. Different people find different solutions. This e-book worked for me 100%. It has 72 pages. That's good! It has pictures and explains thoroughly how to solve many problems. But that's not all.I actually learned things I had no idea about even though I've been using Microsoft Word since the 1980s when it was created.This book is worth attention if you want to publish an e-book and make it as little tortuous as possible.

Mark Coker goes all out to make sure his readers are fully armed with all the knowledge necessary to complete the job of formatting CORRECTLY. I used many of his shortcuts and his NUCLEAR solution.
